Maybe they make us rent for 2.00 a week or can we buy one so we can use the adhesive labels instead of taping on the labels

You don't need to rent OR buy one... you can use your regular ink jet printer. I had a UPS account and just printed all their labels from my HP DeskJet - never had a problem.

Yep! At any office suply store. I would recomend buying them online though because they are MUCH cheaper depending on where you go. In fact, I am willing to bet you can buy them on eBay (he why didn't I think of that?!)

We, too, have a UPS account and use our HP 722C to print all labels. The labels come two to a sheet and, as stated above, are free from UPS. You can order them online from their site if you have a UPS account.

I have the thermal printer and for the $2 a week it's really worth it. The labels come on a roll (250)and fit right in the printer. You can hook it up to a serial port so you can leave your other printer still connected.
It's VERY fast, as soon as you hit print the label is done. And the print will not smudge like the inkjet does. It's really a great convenience. It uses the 1/4 page size labels, much better for most boxes I use.
They didn't offer me the option of buying, though...only renting for $2/week. Did they quote you a price for buying?
