A few time a year Kivalina, a small village in Alaska, mails me all their packing material which consists mostly of peanuts. Their village is very small and they don't want to put these non-biodegradable things in their dump so they mail them to me.

Here is a aerial photo of the village.

I am over run with peanuts at this point. If some Vendioan needs peanuts and wants to Paypal me the funds for parcel post shipping I will send you a box of Kivalina Peanuts. Please keep in mind that parcel post takes about 3 weeks to arrive from Alaska.

I have 4 different size boxes right now.

a box approx 18 x 11 x 13 weighs over 2lbs
a box approx 24 x 15 x 13 weighs over 2lbs
a box approx 18 x 10 x 12 weighs over 2lbs
and a box 19 x 8 x 12 that weighs over 1lb.

The two pound boxes I can mail for $8.75 per box and the 1 pound box would be $7.25.

I have no idea how much you purchase these for in the lower 48 so this may not be a deal for you.

I may just end up having to throwing them up on Craigs and see if someone locally is interested.

ME!!! I'm in dire need. There's not really any place around here to get them. I can take 2 of the larger sized boxes.

Email me at [email protected]. If I don't answer right away, don't worry. I'm going out tonight and it's shower time.

What an interesting looking place. Is that an airport at the back end?
I don't need any peanut but the island is great.

I'm in Cleveland's inner city. Most places I've called would rather toss them away than to recycle them to me. Staples, Office Max, etc. all resell them for $10 a bag. It's a racket. My friends and family save what they can, but they don't get much. The company where my brother used to work would give peanuts to him and he'd bring them to me. However, since he quit they're mad at him so there goes that source.

Well, there is always dumpster diving?? Try Tuesday Morning and some of the gift shops.

Also put an ad in Craigs list under Wanted

Cheryl - have you tried this? Maybe some one works at a store that throws them away?

I certainly don't want to take anything from ewora but peanuts are available pretty cheaply in bigger cities IF you have a vehicle that can pick them up. Here, I can get a bag thats shoulder high (I'm 5'11" and 2 feet across for $8.00, a bit cheaper if I buy 8 bags. They'll deliver if I buy 12 bags but I don't have storage space so I pick up 4 bags each in two trips with a Chevy Tahoe.

I pack guitars so I use lots of peanuts, if you pack smal items I'd consider ewora as a terrific source.
