GENERAL CONDITION STATEMENT: Most items we sell are previously owned. Unless described otherwise they generally exhibit at least the minimal amount of wear one would expect to see on a typical used item for the particular item's age. We try to disclose any defects or cosmetic issues to best of our abilities, however it is impossible to note every minor nick and scratch on a used item. We truly wish to avoid disappointments. As such we welcome any and every question, and we are more than happy to send detailed pictures and/or offer hands-on descriptions via email or telephone.
All items are tested & functioning as described. They will be extremely well-packed in strong cartons with expert packing using the best cushioning materials for safe shipment to arrive in good condition. There is no reason to believe they will not continue to perform well for years. Nevertheless, as with all used electronics they are sold as-is with no warranty. Extended warrantees are available through Square Trade Warranty.
THIS SPECIFIC ITEM: This item is functionally perfect. Cosmetically it is in good excellent condition with no noteworthy cosmetic issues. These are the B&W LM-1 loudspeakers that have received more accolades than we could print here. Google them! Reviews of this little workhorse are plentiful, easy to find on the web and all are positive if not raving! I'll spare you my own raves other than to say that I've owned a lot of fine speakers over the years and these are about the best I've heard for their size. I’ve included links to lots of info below.
Unquestionably a tremendous speaker at this price point! They are very easily driven and perform wondrously! Brilliant highs, amazing voice production and an inspiring amount of bass for their relative cabinet volume. Stunning when supported by a good subwoofer!

Most of my equipment comes from Colorado where we enjoy a semi-arid (DRY) climate. This is important as humidity is one of the main deteriorating factors in audio equipment, especially speakers. Humidity attacks and accelerates deterioration of electronic circuitry and the flexible surrounds in speakers.

Testing - Audio/video equipment is tested for all basic functions and many secondary functions but we cannot always test every feature and setting. Amps, receivers & speakers are connected & tested for FM tuning & playback from a CD, tape, DVD, phono, etc. CD, DVD & tape players/recorders are cleaned internally & externally (heads and lenses are cleaned and demagnetized) and tested for playback, record, FF & REW. Any defects found are noted in the ad.
I record serial numbers of all items sold, and also put a seal on the back of the unit at the juncture of the cover and the case. If this seal has been broken or tampered with, all warranty will be considered void.
