CORNWELL TOOLS, 5 sided Fire Hydrant Socket # SMS1828

Measures 1-3/8"  across the widest section of the socket, since it is not a hex shape, it does not have opposing flats sides like a regular hex  socket.

The other end is a 1-14" hex to attach a drive tool such as a regular 1-1/4" wrench or socket.

I guess you could call this an adapter to adapt the 5 sided fire hydrant fitting to a common 6 sided 1-/14" Hex.

This is a specialty socket, I am calling it a fire hydrant socket because that is all that I know of that uses this 5 sided shape, but it is possible that it was made for something else.
