Deep
Water Culture gives your plants easy access to all the nutrients they need for maximum
growth, as well as a healthy supply of oxygen
Deep water culture is a form of
hydroponics gardening where the plants are suspended above a
nutrient solution in a net pot and the roots of the plants are fully
submerged in the nutrient-rich water below. These types of hydroponics systems,
which can range in size from personal indoor gardens to commercial
greenhouses, are beneficial to plants because they give their roots easy
access to all the nutrients they need for maximum growth,
as well as a healthy supply of
oxygen.

5 Gallon Hydro
Bucket/Reservoir:
Our plastic 5 gallon bucket is perfect for DWC and allow for plants
to grow over 9' tall. There is plenty of room for massive root growth
and
can easily handle your plants from vegging to flowering. Both the bucket
and lid are black to help prevent algae.
6"
Net Pot/Lid:
We use a custom made lid with a built in 6" net pot. This allows for
large
plant growth.
Air
Pump:
This powerful aquarium air pump is designed for 5 - 15 gallon
aquariums. The pump never needs lubricating and is rubber insulated for
quiet performance. Pumps up to 1200cc per minute.
4"
Air Stone Disc:
The micro-pore design energizes your growing solution as it aerates and
circulates the nutrients. You'll notice an extended life of your
nutrient
solutions, healthier plant roots and improved plant growth rate.
6'
Heavy Duty 1/4" Vinyl Tubing:
This is upgraded from the standard aquarium vinyl tubing. The color is
black
to help prevent algae.

1.
This system is designed for the final move of your plant. You
will need to make sure that you have root growth, such that roots are
laying in the bottom of the net pot.
2. Fill the 5 gallon reservoir
to about an inch "above" the bottom of the pot. Once your roots
come out of the pot and are dangling into the water, then drop the
water level to about an inch below the bottom of the pot.
3. Select top quality
nutrients, and change the water and nutrients once a week.
Once you get a large root mass, you will just need to add
nutrients and water on a daily basis.
4. Check you "ph" level on a
daily basis. You should have a ph level between 5.5 and 6.5, with
5.8-6.0 being pretty close to perfect.
5. One of the most important parts of a DWC system is a good supply of
oxygen, so make sure you check the system on a regular basis, to make
sure you have a good flow of bubbles.
Here's an example of the type of growth you will get from this system:
