"The Silent Healer"

Eir was one of the twelve companions of Frigga Lyfja and lived in the Mountain of Healing.

Called "The Silent Healer," she wandered from one place to another, carrying a bag full of herbs, roots, seeds and mushrooms, a knife, a pestle and sticks with runic inscriptions.

She attended to all who needed her healing abilities and asked her for help.

Her practices included the use of purification, herbs, charms, talismans and rune sounds.

She was worshiped as the Patron of Healers, midwives, her devotees and doctors were persecuted by the Inquisition, which led that these ancient practices and natural methods of healing to be forgetten and whose rescue lies with modern shamans.
