Tortoloid Dreadnought Pickguard

Tortoloid is a handsome new pickguard material developed by luthier Mario Proulx, using poured resins and dyes to reproduce the look of actual tortoise shell. Dark brown in color, it has semi-transparent amber areas that intensify the color of the soundboard to complement your guitar's appearance. Tortoloid will add a vintage touch to your guitar.

Each Tortoloid pickguard is individually made. Like natural shell, no two have exactly the same pattern. The highly durable material is .030" thin, flexible, and resists shrinkage. The shape is right, too: authentic 1930s Dreadnought.
