It is almost 3:30 a.m. and STILL no pictures, what is going on??? Fix the problem, we are all losing money and if you don't fix it soon, you will lose money too when your customers switch to another auction service. This is ridiculous, as you won't even post an answer or update as to what is going on, you are just ignoring us! This is no way to run a business!!!!!!

Hi all! There's a lot of familiar faces on this thread. This is the only place that we *meet* and we're meeting more and more often. It's not that I don't love you guys/gals, but here we are again during Vendio's meltdown as eBay sale day listings are ending!

Simply put..Vendio does not have the capacity to handle an eBay sale day. I have been with Vendio since it was Auctionwatch. Until the last few years, Vendio was my *helpmate*. This is not new since the Andale (or whatever it's called) purchase. It has been going on for a couple of years.

I do not post heavily on sale days for reasons of my own. I have a regularly scheduled listing process which directs potential buyers to my eBay store. I also depend on Vendio for sales from my Vendio store.

Photos have been out for hours. This is a 20 something post thread. There's how many unsuspecting Vendio customers who are not here wondering what's up?

Vendio counts on this, and the fact that those of us who have been here for eons are familar with Vendio's listing tools and...once they get their duct tape out and fix their antiquated equipment, we'll quietly go about the business of selling with a tool that we're comfortable with and forget about the money lost during the most recent *glitch*. I've participated in this *dance* far too many times.

We'll be told that they're *sorry*...we'll eat the losses. Vendio will lose NOTHING. And, the majority will forget this UNTIL THE NEXT TIME. And, speaking from experience, there WILL be a next time.

Well, I don't accept the apologies..I expect for my $$ a RELIABLE hosting/listing service. Unfortunately, Vendio no longer fits the description of reliable.

Although it's going to be time consuming and a learning curve. THIS TIME...I'm voting with my feet! Does Vendio care if they lose my business after 8 years? Not really. I do not flatter myself with that thought. I'm merely a small drop of water in a big pond. But, Vendio counts on only a small percentage of users being PISSED! This user is FED UP.

12 hours later and my images are finally showing. I received no new bids during this time, although I, and many others had many items end due to the 20 cent listing day. Vendio needs to answer some tough questions - how did this happen, how do we keep it from happening again, who is responsible, what are the consequences of their actions/inactions, why did it take so long to fix the problem, how are we going to compensate our customers?

Gallery Photos STILL NOT SHOWING for the STUPID folks like me , who FOOLISHLY listed some auctions lated night. WHY did I think VD would get it fixed. After all it was ONLY an intermittent problem.

I m going to habe to face the truth ..this is just not working.
Been here since 1999, mostly it was wonderful. What has cause this bad service lately?

All auctions listed 15 hrs ago are not showing gallery photos. VD has NOT did ANYTHING to correct it.

It is not intermittent, it is not recurrent, it totally has not shown the gallery photo of auctions listed since 6 o'clock pm EST yesterday.

Vendio - In reviewing outages over the past several months (from searching the Discussion Board), I see a date pattern emerging - the 18th to 25th of almost every month
- and then I found CEO Sales comment:
"Vendio, which provides listing management and research services for sellers on eBay as a result of its acquisition of Andale Inc. in June 2006, is working to troubleshoot any future IP address problems. “More of the remote sites were affected,” Sales says. “Customers felt better when we explained to them the system could be accessed, but that they might have trouble seeing their images from some locations.”

Tell us what REALLY is going on - we don't want to be told something that makes us FEEL better - not when our income DEPENDS on those images!

I, too, am an old timer on this site, and agree with the above postings that these problems are not new and did not start at the time Andale was integrated. It's been going on for a very, very, very long time.

Vendio Support - we have complained about this before - when you have a site outage, you owe it to us to post a complete, accurate description of the problem on site pages. This most recent problem described as "intermittent access" problems is incorrect. It is a day after initial reports of trouble, and no change to the splash message, no updates, no postings here. Get a posting up this morning that explains what was wrong, and how you fixed it.

Why do you make your sellers mad? Service issues are bound to happen and that's trouble enough, but to then not take immediate ownership and get everyone clued in is bad form. It makes all of us cranky. And as several folks have put it straight up - we lose, you don't, and that's a bummer for all concerned.

I agree. I believed it was 'INTERMITENT SLOWNESS' so I posted auctions as usual only to find that a bunch double posted and 26 have no gallery image. If nothing else, be honest. Don't lie, give updates. TELL US NOT TO POST!!

Yes, what about the Gallery Images?? I figured that once the photos started showing, the Gallery Images would start showing which is not the case. This would be a perfect opportunity for some refunds, Vendio.

Should we post this message for all 33 items?

This is not the first eBay listing sale you have screwed up for everyone. Not to mention the list of articles above provided by neglus.

Could you possibly tell us how we can fix the gallery pic in all of our listings that went on during your outage (sorry) intermittent slowness.

Or

Will we need to end all of those listings early and resubmit to the fee monster out of our own pockets again.

The way i see it we did our job and pay our bill on time every month but your services were not rendered once again.

Hello,

If your item launched without a Gallery image, you can resubmit the Gallery image on eBay using the same image URL in your listing. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Go to the listing on eBay
2. Sign in to your eBay account, and click the 'Revise your item' link
3. In the section labeled 'Bring your item to life with pictures', click the 'Add Pictures' button
4. The popup will confirm the URL of the image you submitted. Leave this in tact, and just click the 'Insert Pictures' button
5. Click 'continue' at the bottom of the page
6. Click 'submit revisions' at the bottom of the next page

After taking these steps, eBay will reimport the available Gallery image for this item. Note that it can take a few hours for eBay to update their Gallery image database, so the Gallery image may not be available immediately.

Note however that if eBay sent you an email to notify you of the missing gallery image, click the link within and simply resubmit the same URL back to them to be reimported now that it is available.

Regards,
Christopher

Dear Vendio-

I understand that technical difficulties happen from time to time with any business such as this. But please be honest with us, your paying customers. If you knew that auctions launched last evening would have errors that should have been disclosed. I would appreciate some sort of compensation for the gallery pictures I launched last night that have not shown up on my auctions as well as Vendio's portion of the listing and final value fees fees for all of my auctions, sold and unsold, that ended last night since the lack of pictures negatively affected my auctions. Any good business would somehow compensate their customers for such a great inconvenience. If this is not done, I will definately be taking my business elsewhere. I have been very happy with Vendio up until now, but will not accept a mere apology for such damage.

Thanks!

I am a little confused on how to do the above. I see my photo if I click on "source picture" under CURRENT GALLERY PICTURE. I scroll down to where it shows the URL to the photo from Vendio. It says to put in the new URL and click on "Change". Well, I don't have to put in a new one because its already there, so the "Change" button doesn't light up for me to click. And then a little below under REVEIW NEW GALLERY PICTURE it just shows a camera icon. Am I supposed to copy the URL, delete it and then paste it back in? I'm not sure what I need to do.

toyspast,

If you click anywhere into the URL, the change button will activate.
Click on the change button and your gallery photo will load.

Hope this helps.
