Good for him! His deal is even bigger than his wife's, and sets a record $8,000,000 + percs.

Oh Boy, at last a "Slick Willy" tell, all! This ought top the best "Fiction" list in no time! Oh, excuse me, of course he wouldn't lead us astray, now would he? This is bound to be totally truthful and unabridged, according to Willy!! Be still my heart.

Dunno, Zilvy. He may not be as slippery as he used to was. He's getting on, ya know.

What a scam. Considering the odds that he'll talk about the only thing anyone wants him to [Monica] is nil, why would his book be worth $10 million? As soon as it comes out and we're told that he skirts the issue how many will buy it? A thousand? Stupid, stupid publishing company.

I'm really looking forward to this book which should be published in 2003.

Generally, books about presidents sell better than books by presidents but I think that this one will be an exception because Clinton is an exceptional guy!!!

I watched CNN's Talk Back Live today. It is a hoot, hearing the Other Side writhe and squirm that Clinton is not just doing well but doing VERY well. They just can't stand that he'll make some money on his memoirs. (Funny--ebayers keep saying (and it's true) that an item is worth just what someone is willing to pay for it. Same in publishing!)

The book will be well written, too. He's the best writer-president since--hmmm--Lincoln? John Adams? Jefferson? Actually, we haven't had very many presidents who were fine writers, have we?

I don't think that Hillary will ever be President. But Chelsea would likely make a great President some day.

We know about Monica, we know about the pardons, we know about the other women, we know about the Arkansas deals,we know about his brother who was kept under wraps until he was elected president, we know about his mom, we know about his troubled childhood, etc. We will soon know how stupid the publishers were to offer this amount of money for a book deal.
In my opinion, there is no one walking on the face of this earth, worth this much money for any book. Bill Clinton brought shame to our highest office of the land and he lied to the American people. I personally wouldn't spend one dime to read about his life. If you must read about him, wait for a copy to get to your library and save your hard earned money. I think publishers forget we are living in the internet age and we get most news for free.

In most romance novels aren't the Heroes truly upstanding, woman defending personas?
Clinton doesn't cut it Helen, he is a user and a liar, bold faced straight out LIAR! Dishonored his wife, his daughter, his office
and his country! No amount of $$$ will change those facts.

HJW I was under the impression that this book will be about ROMANCE. I am sure the other women thought the same thing.

Couldn't agree more with Angelwoman and Zilvy.

Watched an interview and someone who feels the same state they were going to borrow a copy of the book. Their reason....to use it as a 'how to' book...

How to rent out the Lincoln Bedroom.

How to sell our National secrets to China.

How to have an affair, lie under oath and get away with it.

How to etc.. etc...he just kept going on and on.

Had me crackin' up.

Next time you use my words I expect an attribution...they are my words and were not meant for you to bandy them about....guess I'll have to get some of that spray or is this where the snares are to be used?

ANGELWOMAN, Zilvy and Linda_K

What a group!

Clinton reads approximately 12 books a week.
I wonder if George has read that many in his lifetime?

Gee, I guess that makes him an upstanding citizen...what a criteria to base an individuals worth....how did he ever find time for all his extra curricular stuff, including being president...you are right Helen, he is just a "Wonder!!"

And for the record, the little peccadilloes of the other presidents was nothing compared to this mans outright, blatent, misuse of his office...and that includes renting out the Lincoln Bedroom and LYING TO THE NATION AND THE WORLD!

hjw - Wow!! Clinton reads approximately 12 books a week, and he still hasn't picked up any knowledge/pointers about honesty, not selling out your country, honoring your vows to your wife, lying, giving pardons to those you owe favors to etc.?

Hope he keeps reading!

Zilvy,

You are trying your best to get me removed from Auction Watch and this little effort will fail.

It appears that romance and beds are your primary concerns. I don't have an answer for you on that score. You can always dream.
