I know, Charlton Heston, Arnold Swharznagger, and Bruce Willis are GOP...
I'd like to know who is what in Hollywood, just for the heck of it.....

Near, here's a picture of Aiden and I having lunch near the sea. The only reason I'm smiling is because he just told me he was a democrat. A beach bum overheard him and offered him a sugar donut to celebrate....

If Adam and Eve were the two political parties I'm guessing that you'd say that Eve would be the Republican who tempted Adam the Democrat and caused him to sin. Both sinners but... if it weren't for that damn Republican...

After creating this thread encouraging republicans to post links or bring up facts to support their position, several people expressed their unhappiness with the general "attitude" that some of us anti-Bush types have and in particular mine.
So.
So I've sat back here, watching the threads, seeing how these very same folks who complained about attitudes and other posters going on and on and on endlessly go about showing us all the proper way to do it.
Instead, all I see them doing is trying to derail threads. Bringing up Clinton and the Monica Lewinski affair is always sure to derail a thread about Bush and his shortcomings, as Democrats predictably rally around and jump to Clinton's defense. These posters who do the derailing must be laughing themselves sick everytime Democrats fall for it, "They're sooooooo predictable! HAHAHAHAHAHA!"
And when posters won't be baited into derailing the Bush thread by dissing Clinton, they resort to personal attacks of the posters in a very surly manner. How typical of republicans.
So.
From now on, given the examples I've seen so far, I won't be raising my sights up for republicans anymore. Nope. They're predictable too!

The dissing as you call it in your street vernacular had very little to do with politics, more it has to do with attitude and I have rapidly developed one, when I first started on these threads a short time ago there were many more amicable exchanges, and many more posters, albeit for a few hard nosed folks who like to stir things up. All very acceptable, who wants only cream of wheat when you can have krs...but since the fiasco of politics has held sway.....well, it isn't a pretty sight nor site!!
So if you want to hold sway with knocking the opposition go to it, but your audience is shrinking and soon you will be left to play with yourself...ooops!

Well...if those of us who don't believe Republicans or conservatives are the spawn of Satan would simply stop posting to these threads, it could be interesting.

I just had a good idea! These threads are like TV channels. If you don't like one thread, just post to another. Isn't that simple?
Borillar started this thread to invite Republicans to voice their concerns and opinions.
Toke, you and Zilve only complained about the thread. Zilve, frequently objected to the thread using the phrase over and over and over.
Well, if it is so objectional to you, why don't you just start a new thread that interests you or post to another one.
I'm afraid I don't understand your complaints.
Helen
ed to add a question mark.

Zilvy, you know I like you alot, but I feel there's something else bothering you....is there?
Nobody's attacking anyone that I can see....Ken, Helen, etc.....they have their opinions but because they might not agree with yours or mine, doesn't mean they're trying to attack anyone. Some of us posters like bluntness, some don't and maybe view it as a personal attack.
Sometimes discussions get "heated" only because of differences in opinion, not because anyone doesn't like the other person. I hope you can see that.

Oh, I'm not complaining... Just tired of unpleasantness. Those of like minds can agree among themselves just fine... Sure don't need me around to assist them in finding perfect agreement...
The Triad would be krs, hjw, and borillar. They seem to be soulmates in synchronous lockstep...politically at least.

Well, I am flattered to find myself in a list with krs and borillar but I don't consider myself a member of a "triad" and I am very sure that they do not consider me one either. I have always been a democrat and the political threads interest me.
Kraftdinner and many other posters here know more about politics that I do. I'm just learning by reading the threads and the links that are provided here.

Well, I can't speak for them but I will wager a bet that if they are reading this, they are laughing out loud.

since some feel democrats are big commies wouldn't
"trokia"
sound a little better.

"Borillar started this thread to invite Republicans to voice their concerns and opinions."
Well, I think Borillar started this thread just to have yet another opportunity to indulge himself in more loud-mouth bullying and stupid diatribes. He doesn't want to hear other opinions, he wants more chances to say stupid things like Republicans are controlled by Satan.
And let me add, that's not a "Conservative" (big "C" ) assessment, but I would consider it a "conservative" (little "c" ) one.
(smiley)

I don't want to fight with your all but I did not use the word "our" in my quote.
LoL
Hepburn,
You got my quote wrong. I said
Humor is my usual response to just about everything and I would be the last poster here to object to a humorous remark about
anything!
