Hi Rawbunzel yes, it is too happy around here. Here - have a glass of my wine and come float in my pool with me for a bit and you'll be mellow too. It's pitch black out tonight... so relaxing.

And, then I made the mistake of hitting refresh at the RT and find that Borillar so rudely commented on my link apparently without having the decency of reading it first. humph! And, he wonders why I can't take his post seriously.

Borillar Your condescending tone and attitude toward anyone that doesn't detest Bush is getting old in and of itself. I've really tried my best to tolerate it because I understand that in your mind you believe that Bush stole the presidency - so, it makes it difficult for you to see his accomplishments. Still, I must admit that I resent the idea that you pretend to be too stupid to understand what is in front of you. If you're going to ask me to spoon feed you what is readily available then you could at least give me the courtesy of looking at the ones I'm kind enough to post for you.

Rawbunzel You don't know how much I wish we could just snap our fingers and zoom you here... wouldn't that be fun! Yes, I know you don't like Bush... but, you've been very specific with me about your reasons and I actually agree with you on some of your points... especially about the environment... still waiting and hoping he does the right thing on that issue. I'll admit it doesn't look good so far. My only hope is that he has a plan I don't know about yet.

O.K. I'm crashing now. Gotta take the little guy to school in the a.m.

G'night.

I'm sure that borillar did look at the biased link, at least long enough to see that it is set in it's tone by the phrasing which contains:

"the most recent demonstration of presidential greatness was Clinton's closing weeks of wild all-nighters devoted to devising yet new ways of corrupting the presidency, this time by spectacularly abusing the pardon power"

If that is the sort of factual information you present to him then you have no standing whatsoever to critisize him for a stance which is diametrically opposite yours.

There is one thing to be said for borillar. He could not be classified as an mindless or repetitive cheerleading pom-pom girl for anyone.

awwwwww, I think that's so sweet of you to defend your little brother like that Ken. Do you guys wear matching outfits too?

Seems to me that the last time you addressed me directly it was to inform me that we weren't on the same rung. hmmmmm... I guess I moved up a rung... or, maybe you moved down one... no matter.

The link I posted was from a commentator making positive, factual acknowledgements about the Bush administration—most of which I happen to agree with. What would you have me do when I'm asked why I support him? Find a link that is biased against him?

I leave that to you. With Bushwatch nice and handy you don’t seem to have much trouble “validating” your positions… snicker Think about it. If they don’t come up with dirt on Bush and lots of it… they’re out of business. Hmmmmm…. Yep, that’s the kinda source I want to get my information from. If you want to complain about mindless, repetitive chatter maybe you should look for the direction it's coming from.

If that is the sort of factual information you present to him then you have no standing whatsoever to critisize him for a stance which is diametrically opposite yours.

He could not be classified as an mindless or repetitive cheerleading pom-pom girl for anyone.

I’m quite sure you’re not directing that caustic remark toward me, KRS. Hell, we're on the same rung.

bushwatch, eh?

http://www.nytimes.com/2001/08/12/weekinreview/12STEV.html

Is that from bushwatch? No, it's the New York Times

The New York Times?? Impossible! That's a conservative newspaper.

http://www.latimes.com/news/printedition/asection/la-000065081aug11.story?coll=la%2Dnews%2Da%5Fsection

Well then, that must be from bushwatch! Err, no. It's the Los Angeles Times, and anyway it's kinda' proBush, even if it relays how he admits to blowing it.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/world/americas/newsid_1485000/1485305.stm

Now I KNOW that everything that krs posts comes from bushwatch!! This must be! Ah, sorry, it's the BBC News.

The truth is that almost everything I post comes from national or world major news sources, and it's true that I'm unlikely to post anything from a hometown Texas newspaper that merely reiterates the White House press releases. Those are what dumbya wants the world to believe, but the world ain't buyin' it.

mybiddness: so, can you tell us just what "thoughtful and environmentally sensitive decisions" Dubya has made so far? It's all very well accusing opponents of bringing up "the same old" criticisms or questions...but they keep coming up because there are no good answers.

Bunnicula As much as I hate to put down my pom poms... To answer your question, as I said in my post last night - I am disappointed with Bush when it comes to environemtal issues. I don't believe he's quite the demon he's been painted to be but he's got some 'splainin to do too. On that issue in particular... others as well.

I've yet to see a politician (Dem or Rep) that is 100% right about everything or 100% wrong about everything. Although they all like to claim they're always in the right... Common sense says they're not.

Gotta go pack orders so if I don't answer for a bit I'm not ignoring you...

No. Im saying mybidd COULD be the one asking the question and she just has short hair and a hawaiian shirt on since she lives in texas. You might be the one with your face in the bowl. I have a good guess who the HEE HAW could be.

Hello Mybidness. I am surprised at your attack on me. Rather than addressing my position, you chose to attack me personally? Very unbecoming.

Lessee … you want me to regurgitate what I read into that link that you posted? It was a summary and opinion. Fair enough. KRS noted as I did the vitriolic repartee with which the writer pointed towards Clinton. While I've agreed on here in the past how badly the pardon business really was, the comment, "…wild all-nighters devoted to devising yet new ways of corrupting the presidency." was totally out of line with a professional and unbiased viewpoint. But what could you expect from someone who states up-front that they feel that Ronald Reagan and Dubya have been wrongfully characterized with the facts while spaying their pee on the reader about Clinton? Yeah … wonderful article.

The points on which the writer bases the things to be proud of done by Bush so far in his presidency reads just like the white House press release that I mentioned. It even has the very same inaccuracies that rely upon the ignorance of the listener that does not take the time to learn the facts or have any savvy about our political processes. A co-incidence? To whom was the writer preaching?

But then, I've been constantly accused these days of being nasty in my posts. I wrote a polite response about the article and still you bash me for it " and find that Borillar so rudely commented on my link" in an unfair characterization. What you think that was "so rudely commented on" you won't reveal to anyone - that would leave your diatribe open to skepticism. You're still on that attack vector that I slam everyone in my posts that I don't agree with. It is clear to me that no matter what I had written, you'd have come back this next day with the very same commentary. Your posts are predictable.

"I've really tried my best to tolerate it because I understand that in your mind you believe that Bush stole the presidency - so, it makes it difficult for you to see his accomplishments."

Funny. I've posted on many an occasion what I find objectionable about Bush and the GOP. At no point did I ever say that my only complaint was the method with which Bush obtained his office. Instead, I have complained about the one-sidedness he has shown of being against the American People based upon the facts and the total disregard and distain for them that he has shown thus far. Had Bush obtained his office in the manner that he did, but had then turned around and worked FOR the American people and FOR the people who voted for him instead of his stance AGAINST them, I'd have little to complain about. That Bush supporters still like him after he has so blatantly backstabbed them really does not hurt my feelings when they write mischaracterizations about me in this forum.

As far as that picture of the Diner goes, I will say this about it - it's totally right that Bush certainly has caused a lot of excitement in government and has imparted to a lot of Americans a brand-new concern that would have gone unnoticed in complacency if Al Gore had won instead.

Once again, anyone who gets too close to me gets splashed with venting spleens! All the same, it is nice to have someone display a little decency towards me in my absences from this forum. Fortunately for me, you're battle hardened enough to wade through the injustices like a duck on water!
