Does anyone here study dreams? I am talking about real dreams when one is fast asleep, not just hopes and wishes and dreams.

I have had the same dream for more years than I can remember. A stranger approaches me and he is wearing a brown "Indiana Jones" type hat and a coat that is like suede leather or rawhide. He is partly from "now" and partly from another era, perhaps the wild west. In my dream I know that he is a stranger but also that I know him. His presence is very strong. Each time he approaches me I know it is for a special reason but then I wake up.

Does anyone know what this one means? Do others have strange recurring dreams?

Thanks, krs.

I just went to Google search and found some interesting answers so I didn't have to send any money to Miss Cleo.

I used to have nightmares about snakes. I refuse to watch anything now concerning snakes. YUK!

Kiara: That was me in your dreams. Sometimes when I'm asleep, my mind wanders a bit....

godzillatemple,

I saw your picture one time and no, it wasn't you wandering in my dreams. Unless you change somewhat.

Based on Psychology 101, I believe that your recurring dream represents a repressed fear or wish. That should give you something to consider...HaHaHa...

" In my dream I know that he is a stranger but also that I know him. His presence is very strong".

It's obviously penis envy.

Kiara, that man from now and the past in the Indiana Jones hat, etc., beware....The Tax Man Cometh!! or some guy wants to get in touch with his feminine side! The bird represents freedom, shedding your earthly cares and reaching for a higher level of understanding, awareness.

No such thing as penis envy, and here's why:

A little boy and girl are taking a bath one day. The little boy notices that the little girl doesn't have a penis.

He says to her, "Don't you wish you had one of these?"

She says, "Nope." He asks her why.

Her reply: "Because I have one of these, and with one of these, I can have as many of those as I want."

Very interesting, Zilvy. The tax man did cometh and bigtime. That is almost scary!

The man that comes to me in my dreams is someone that I want to know and I know there is a reason for him to keep returning. I am not afraid of him. He was around long before I ever worried about taxes but maybe it was an omen that some day I would?

Seems like all dreams are explained as repressed fears or wishes or always a sex thing. I had an old dream book from the 1930's and it was a good one. But a couple of years ago I bought a new one and it didn't matter whether you dreamed about a chicken, a door or a radish--it was all about sex.

Isn't there a possibility that people can meet each other in their dreams--maybe while they are both dreaming?

As for the penis envy I will just have to go along with what sadie999 just posted.

godzillatemple, Too funny!!!

No, no, the look is all wrong!! Too smooth. Too clean. Too "nice".

The mysterious stranger in my dreams is wearing brown, his coat is long, he is "rough". His hair is longer, I think he has a mustache.

The penis envy comment didn't shock me. That's why I edited my dreams about skating and flying--I just knew someone would relate it to sex.

Actually godzillatemple's comment did shock me. The mere thought of someone from a message board wandering in my head at night is a bit disturbing.

The real nature of penis envy is that females can't stand and pee!

Penis is a strange word.

The more you say it the funnier it sounds.

I can stand and pee.
I do it all the time at public restrooms.

IMHO, Penis envy is founded in the inability to write one's name in the snow.
I moved to Florida.
poof!
No more penis envy
