As with all his other disguises, the hard hat is for show, leading everyone to believe there is something to protect.

I've been cruising around the net to find out what other people are thinking about George. Basically, they believe that Medicare will be down the drain, Social Security is on it's way to Wall Street. There is no money for STAR WARS but that's ok because we didn't have an enemy to fight anyway. Education and children will be left behind and unfunded.
The environment is shot to hell all over the world and Bush is a joke all over the world.
Maybe a more appropriate hat would be a clown hat!

Helen - a clown hat would be perfect. He doesn't need a hard hat. The rocks in his head don't need any protection.
