Something strange is going on. My post inquiring as to why toke's and hjw's posts haven't been deleted along mine keeps popping up.

Is this the Twilight Zone?

Whew, what a relief, Sara.

I've been waiting patiently for Reamond's law school tips 2-5, and Genocide 101 was just getting under way.

Im curious, but before I ask the question, I need to borrow shadowcats flame proof suit. Too bad the tail section will be empty, but maybe I can drap it over my arm as accent?

What if there were a call to arms from the general public to go to afghanistan and fight and the age range was from 30 to 50, any sex. Who here would go?

If we were suspended for common epithets, applied to non-posters...few of us would be here. Especially you and me, Jules... Should at least be righteous, IMO.

Didn't say you couldn't, hep. Don't have that power. But as pointless, absurd derailments go, it's pretty impressive. That's all I was saying.

Maybe this moderation call could be started in a new ponderment thread or something. Its derailing gaffans thread.

So sorry, gaffan. Not. And yes, it IS beyond your control, HERE, isnt it? Tut tut.

Hello hepburn,

You know that we can't start a thread to discuss a moderation call - if you have questions, or comments, please email us.

Thanks!

Thank you Sara for your last post and for reinstating the suspension

However just a quick mention that while I was in the process of posting my post that was deleted you had posted your post. I hadn't read your post until after I had posted my post which is a common occurence here at AW and is oftentimes "understood" by the moderators

BufPuf no longer awaits email

Absurd? Why dont you answer the question? Maybe the answer would be absurd, as answers go, eh?

I've never known Hepburn's posts to be either pointless or absurd, Gaffan.

Sara, I was pulling your chain. I know, lol. Just was making a point that threads DO get derailed from time to time. Nobody has CONTROL over where it will go. Right Gaf?

Thanks Toke I do try to stay on topic. And since someone DID mention the age range (cant remember if it was this thread or another one) and it DOES pertain to afghanistan, I figure I was on topic. Oh well.

Thank you for allowing me to address my deleted post and having it resolved. I do appreciate it

I have always admired your posts and threads. I didn't mean to be disrespectful please accept my apology for the derailment and won't do it again.

Not here or anywhere, hep. Never deleted a post, even in places where I do have control over that. Sorry you're so resentful at whatever it is you're imagining.

In any case, it's an absurd question. Now, if you really believe that they're going to do something like that, well, fine. But it speaks more to your state of mind than it does about anything else. And if you agree that it's an absurd question, why post it?

It speaks about my state of mind? Saying I would go IF such a thing happened? And, gaf, since when do you know what may or may not happen? Hedging on answering the question still, I see. Fine. Dont answer it. It was a simple question, brought up earlier, the age range. Alot of posters here are saying GO GET 'EM, so I was curious. Who here would acutally go GET EM. No biggie. But you made it out to be.

Hep - I'd help in a war effort in anyway I could. I'm over your age limit and physically wouldn't be up to the physical demands.

Yes during WWII heroes were on the battlefield as well as at the "homefront" doing various things to support the troops.
