Convicted of drunk driving. Lied repeatedly to cover up his arrest.

-- Lying under oath. Bush & staff stop investigation of contributor's huge funeral home company.

-- Pulled Strings to Avoid Vietnam, & Got Favorable Treatment

-- Texas government corruption: State $$ for campaign funders & business cronies

-- Cocaine: felony drug use, vile hypocrisy, and a hushed up arrest?

-- His "young and irresponsible" behavior: sex, drugs and (gasp!) rock and roll?

-- Thin skinned: censors his critics with police, lawyers, $$$

-- Character: Spoiled rich kid living off his family's name and reputation

-- Made millions on insider business deals, for little work
-- -- Deal #1. Personal Profits from Failing Oil Companies
-- -- -- -- Easy Money From Odd Sources
-- -- -- -- A Surprise Deal From Bahrain
-- -- -- -- Access to the President and National Security Adviser for his foreign business partner
-- -- Deal #2. Selling Oil Stocks Just Before Iraq Invaded: lucky guess or illegal insider trading?
-- -- Deal #3. A Big Slice of a Baseball Team
-- -- -- -- Hypocrisy: using government coercion to make his private fortune

Read it all, and then say that you believe in him now.

You staying or leaving, krs? I ask because if you're leaving I wonder how you'll redirect the energy you put into these Bush threads. I can't imagine you just stopping on November 1st. Or are there other forums to accommodate you?

We believe you - but most of us are not really interested in armed insurrection so what ya got in mind? The alternate choice in 3 years will probably also be as easy to face as a week old fish.

Cattle.

Zilvy, ask around about some certain days in the DNF board.

Everyone read all of that? Of course not. Every bit documented which is something more than can be said about all of the ranting about Bill clinton that you did for EIGHT YEARS. You don't care--you're REAL Americans. Right? Waving a flag makes it so. Chanting in unison diatribes that you hear from your leader.

All of that was known before he was elected...er...voted in...er....took office. Didnt stop some from marking a nice little X next to his name. All in all, we are doomed to live with it for another 3 years, anyway you look at it.

Actually hep, they covered most of it pretty well. The DUI stuff came out four days before election day, and was sketchily put together at that time.

Here I am agreeing with you that it stinks but I just want some practical course of action suggested. I don't think I deserve to be labeled as a herd beast for not rushing armed into the streets to riot. There is actually a mood in the air just the opposite direction. That is to ask people to put up almost anything while the country is under attack.
It was seriously suggesting in our local paper here that nobody should be allowed to be employeed in the US unless they affirm their loyalty by reciting the pledge of alligence every morning like school children.
I suppose they want all the foreign nationals to just be sent home, even the ones let in because their skills are needed. The university where my wife works just hired a German as a professor
of Technology History and I don't think it is very reasonable to ask that of him when he is not even a citizen may not even stay permenantly and has been here all of a couple weeks. Or was that cattle remark not including me O Marksman?

Gravid don't you know PIFFLE when you see it...cattle, cripes he's the head "cow slinger"...sheep would be more like it to take this stuff seriously...remember he owns stock in blood pressure cuffs!

Have no idea what you are alluding to regarding DNF...I've seen you on an unmoderated board, not a pretty sight.

zilvy,

DNF = eBay's Discuss New Features message board, which used to be pretty raucous and came to a head with a big purge in the winter of 1999. That purge helped AuctionWatch in a big way.

Yes, it is too bad that we cannot have a leader who inspires confidence and who has a proven track record of success in government since 1976. Someone who was instrumental in shaping American foreign and domestic policy for eight years as Vice President under the Clinton Administration.

Someone who wouldn’t be a “warmonger” and who could enter into a constructive dialog with those who wish to harm our nation and citizens.

I give you: Mullah Al

I think the terrorists have won.

I knew on September 11th, 2001 that if nothing else was ever done by any terrorist again that they had victory. Life as we knew it was over here.

George W. Bush is a human being. He belongs to a very wealthy and influential family. During his younger days he was wild, irresponsible and dependent on more than one substance. He was arrested, used his influence well and supposedly turned over a new leaf.

Bush earned himself a history, a quite well documented one. Does it have any bearing today? Who knows...but it sure as hell should be able to be discussed.

If we, as American citizens are no longer willing to discuss, debate and talk about our government, our polititions, our foreign policies, our domestic policies, etc. then our nation has suffered a loss that we will not recover from. If we feel that patriotism demands a mindless belief, a herd mentalities, group think on every level...we have lost our individuality and our freedom.

George W. Bush is our president...no matter how he got there. I am sure that this is not an all together pleasant time to be president, but he is. I am sure that not all of us are thrilled with him being president, but he is. That does not mean that we all have to mindlessly fall into step with his every thought. Absolute power corrupts, absolutely. It is our patriotic duty to question, discuss, debate, give input into our nation and the policies it pursues.

If we as a nation and as individuals are unwilling to look closely and scrutinize out policies, our actions...then we should be damned concerned about where we are headed. If we cannot look at our leaders and recognize them for what they are then we should be damned concerned that they are our leaders. I don't care if you voted for or against the particular candidate you have a problem if you are afraid to look at the person as they truly are.

Yes, George W. Bush is our president for at least three plus years. But that does not mean that we should unquestioningly, mindlessly follow his every idea during that time. It is our duty as responsible, patriotic American citizens to make sure that the things being done on the name of America closely reflect the American ideals of freedom and justice for all, of equality and all of the other ideals that American's have fought and died for.

Yes I think this is the last hurrah. Krs has just a few days left to convince us all to take arms and head to the streets.

Now that I think about it I'll probably migrate back to an old message boardi used that offers support to members suffering from OCD. Too many good people leaving here.
