Oh look at all you greedy little piggies!!! LMAO!!! You want all MY gory details, but have ONE of you given up the tiniest detail of one of your OWN stories?? HAAAAH no deal pals, forget it, you don't get ONE more tidbit of information outta me till ya give up your OWN juicy stories. When I see some REAL SCOOP in here, I promise to give you mine.

Beetle I had NEVER watched it, never seen it, never even heard of it till I was asked to go on it. I said NO first. Boy was I an idiot to allow myself to get suckered into that one. LMAO! Makes a pretty good story though. This was back in like '94. It wasn't yet the violent, sensational bunch of crap it is now. It was just a plain old bunch of crap back then.

I'll go first only because I want to hear about Jerry Springer. I've been married 30 years. But, before we were married, my future MIL caught us in a very awkward situation.

Okay, here's mine: I was once out to dinner in New York and mistaken for Johnny Depp. I received the full celebrity treatment, free meal, other patrons buying me drinks, signing autographs etc. But then some geek asked me some 21 Jump Street trivia. I didn't know the answer, and was subsequently exposed. Through some clever subterfuge, I managed to get away minutes before the police arrived.
edited to add:
What's a little bit embarrassing is that I made this story up and meant to tell people it was just a joke, but in all the excitement/bereavement of our final night here, I plain forgot. Now I have to creep in the back door to add this note after I've been locked out because of AW's new credit card requirement. So no, I do not resemble Johnny Depp. But did I ever tell you about the time I passed myself off as Sidney Poitier's son ...

Most embarrassing moment?
Put your blinders on fellas. This really happened.
During my late 30's was finishing up my BA at the University of Pittsburgh, night school.
It was that time of the month, had gone to the rest room to do what needs to be done. However, some how some way, the paper wrapper was sticking out of my jeans. And did someone say something? Did one of the younger girls get me aside and say, oh lady--there is something sticking out of your tight and oh so lovely butt?
Nope. I was so mortified when I got home and realized what had happened. Did I go to the class the next week? Yes, but was as quiet as a church mouse until the semester ended!
It is the fact that we all know women have periods, but did I have to friggin advertize it?
That's it. Still blushing recalling this embarrassing moment.

OMG - if spaz looks like Johnny Depp, it's no wonder he won't post a pic. He's terrified of the stampede from the women (and some men) at AW
Ok Jannie - here's mine most embarrassing moment and I swear it's true (if Netta ever gets over the heartbreak of your betrayal and comes back, she'll confirm it ).
My father, the one that I love and adore, the inspiration to me, the one that was a former politician and highly respected business man, the one with the photographic memory that knew if we moved so much as a piece of gum from his dresser, the one that taught me that respect is not an automatic entitlement of age or position but has to be earned, the father that had a stroke 6 years ago. My father watches Jerry Springer and Ricky Lake. And if he and Mum go out for the day, he tapes them.

Muriel!!! ROF LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh my god I laughed so hard.
MichelleG - Whoa, you stopped me dead in my tracks. Wanna stop talking in code to me and tell me exactly what you mean by "your fickle friend" and "the heartbreak of my BETRAYAL to NETTA??" WHAT ARE you talking about??

A friend and I were going back in to work after luch at the Abrams Bank Building in Dallas (ever been there? there's quite a breeze thing goin at the main entrance on windy days)
Anyway, it was very windy and we were both wearing dresses. They went up. The security guards raised there arms way up and gave us our scores. (really really good scores btw)
They had apparently been treated to this show all day long.

spazmodeus, you're pulling our leg, right? If you're not, can I have your phone number? (OK, just kidding... sigh...)
I recounted this particular embarrassing moment in a previous thread, but here it is again ---> My mom once told me I'd misspelled the word "penis" in my diary. Need I elaborate?

Muriel, that fart story was freakin HILARIOUS. You have a way with words, girl. Good for you for telling that story.
Okay I will give it up. I think it was back in February 94 - my girlfriend Merrill (at the time - we were together 4 years) called me from work and "proposed" to me. We used to do that all the time joking around cos we couldn't really legally get married. (sad.) But when she called me from her job, she said the producers of the Jerry Springer show called her and told her the topic of the show was "Should Gay Marriages Be Legal". They wanted us to do a "comittment ceremony" on the show. Of course we were both activists and were always fighting for it to be legal, so it was like a chance to go talk about why it should be legal. I had NEVER heard of Springer, I DIDN'T want to do it, but, she begged me, she thought it would be great fun, me being the adventurous idiot I am and can't say no to a new adventure, I gave in. OH MY GOD. NEVER AGAIN.
Want more details?
PS: I should've gotten divorced on the Oprah show.

Ok be right back.
Whew, almost gave me a heart attack.

NYCrocker, the title of this thread was most embassassing moments.
To be out of the closet so to speak on Jerry Springer was your most embarrassing moment?
You have live a sheltered life.
And remember, Jerry has shows, what--- about 150 new shows each year?
Your 15 minutes of fame is long gone and probably long forgotten before those coeds are still laughing about the old lady with a tampax wrapper stuck in her pants.!
