But Helen, you ARE a regular poster at the crotch from what I could tell. Perhaps not as regular as good ol' unreg000p, but regular just the same as evidenced by your repeated enthusiastic visits there.

And me suck up to Irene? You wouldn't say that if you knew any of the history between myself and that creep.

Kraftdinner I have not told Irene to go to Newt's or you to go th AC or Enchantd to go to AC or Rawbunzel to go to Newts. You did not read that anywhere. You have missed my point entirelyl

The fact that you can't prove your point is not my problem,

I don't know your history with Irene. That's right.

But after what she has said to me, I don't want anything to do with her.

Maybe I have made a mistake, trying to defend myself at Auctioncrotch, but I did the best that I could withoud knowing the consequences.

enthusiastic visits there? That remark indicates that you know nothing about my experience with AuctionCrotch.

Well, Helen, I'm convinced that your visits were enthusiastic. In fact I have the distinct and lasting impression that you and the founder of the place have been plotting against me and all of my anonymous others for some time. I know it in fact, from things that you say, or don't say here and in other places. I want you to know that I'm on to you and you're not fooling me or any of my other personalities with your underhanded sweettalk.

KRS, GET REAL! I know Beth got permanently canned. Geesh. But so did Ross and several others and they came back. Over and over and over. Ok, maybe she couldn't have used her Beth ID but hey, that never stopped Ross!

Sorry, this is out of the "flow" of the thread but my computer decided to take a break and when it does so do I.

edited.

I mean, dumbunz, since the imposition of the CC requirement. She was here as several different people, some who you were quite close to, before that. Ross, like most of the rest of the women who left here, hasn't been able to convince his husband to allow him to put a card on file.

Dumbunz??? Well, now my feelings are really ,really hurt. Really.
Damn....that Beth is good. Now I have to spend the rest of the night trying to figure out who she was......and I am no good at that at all.Can you tell?

I'm dumber than I thought. I had no IDEA Ross was a woman. LOL!!!

I don't think I should tell you which posters she was, but there were two seperte IDs that you got along with well. I'm surprised that you didn't notice the similarities.

I thought that most everyone who'd been around here long knew that about Ross.

Don't blame the demise of this board on other sites. The problem with this forum is that a few posters insist on putting their #*!@ on a pedestal.

You're a eunich, twinsoft. Emasculated. Nothing you say warrants attention. In another time you'd wear a turban as you slowly fan the air in the room where your sultan's harem slept.

Gotcha, but I'm still not telling who it was, but. I have noticed that the same ID is used in your board a couple of posts.

I've been mostly away from the system. Haven't cruised around boards for a couple of months. I had agreed to a timeline for completion of a set of custom jobs and almost didn't make my guarantee and this longrange househunt is making us both a little crazy.

OK, I recind my previously stated offer. Obviously, from reading this thread, no one is pointing to me and accusing me of chasing people off. in fact, i found this whole confrontation that I've been reading up to now quite confusing. Evidently, there are other messageboards that posters like to participate at. Then comes a question of "loyalty" to the RT. How bizaar! And that the RT is ever-dying. That may be true. While requiring a credit card does relieve AW from hiring babysitters for us, it does chase away posters. Let's face it: the charm of posting on the internet is in the annonymity. You can say what you like within stated boundries without fear of revealing your true identity to the world. That AW's unique (unique to me, at any rate) solution to the squabbles requires posters to reveal their identities is undoubtedly going to be the ultimate demise of the RT -- not its current crop of posters and anything that they have ever said or done.

I post here...to keep Ken happy.

No seriously, I have no more loyalty to AW than they have to me. When I first started using their tools I referred quite a few people here, many who continue to use them. I don't, but I suspect they never really noticed. I quit before they started charging and would have paid had they met my needs. In the beginning I only posted here, but always enlarge my world by adding new venues...and my online life reflects this.

I still like coming to AW, mostly the RT because I like the depth of the conversation. The collection of people here has never been reproduced anywhere else and I miss it when I am gone. There are many people that I only see here. The group has changed many times, but it has been and still is unique.

I honestly have not been to the auction related forums recently, but I learned an enormous amount from people there. I learned about things to do, things not to do and bubble wrap. AW has provided a very active venue for information exchange. It still does but not so active and that is because of poor business making decisions by AW management.

So yes, I like it here, but I have diversified my portfolio and not invested solely in a business that shoots itself in the foot every chance it gets.
Please call me Charlotte so I don't have ta change my ID.

Good Lord!

No, the Smith persona was not I, though having now read it, I agree with the part about Maui stirring up trouble. I've seen that first-hand plenty of times.

The only issue here of much significance as far as I am concerned is the CC requirement over which none of us has any control. That a few people may not like those who post here and would like to see the forum shut down because of their disproportionate and displaced personal grievances and self-assessments, which beyond all the high blown emotional rhetoric is the essence of their argument, concerns me less than the breaking of a pencil point.

"Let's face it: the charm of posting on the internet is in the annonymity."

"The only time you have annonymity is to never turn on a computer".

This is a statement made to me a few years back. I sometime think it is a true statement.

I have never understood the reason for annonymity, unless it would be the fear of personal or family terrorism.

Ever wonder how they tracked some of the terrorist, to the exact computer used. Extracted not only the information they used but, the information of those that used it before them.

I have had a lot of computers in my life from a old 64 to what I have now.

Boards have not changed only the people that use them. Some time down the road I won't be posting. Not because of posters but, because
I want be alive to do so.

Do I enjoy posting at RT?. I enjoy reading posts more than posting.

KRS, hope you fine the home you are looking for. It took us 5yrs.

Fred
