Why do I post here?

I've used AW services for a couple of years. RT was the best board in the OAI for a long time. It had the tension of opposites in topics and posters.

Time present and time past

Are both perhaps present in time future,

And time future contained in time past.

If all time is eternally present

All time is unredeemable.

What might have been is an abstraction

Remaining a perpetual possibility

Only in a world of speculation.

What might have been and what has been

Point to one end, which is always present.

Footfalls echo in the memory

Down the passage which we did not take

Towards the door we never opened

Into the rose-garden. My words echo

Thus, in your mind.

T. S Eliot

What other topics are usually discussed here? Just about AW or anything interesting?

Hi Antiquary! I'm planting seeds. It's a good antidote to too much FTPing.

I'm planting seeds

Hey snowy! That's been a popular activity lately.

But back to gardening...you should have some pretty good-sized plants when it's safe to put them in. I'm still debating about the Radiator Charlies. Otherwise, I'm ready to get started with spring preparation--but now its wet and wintry here again. I hope that we get enough prolonged cold weather to reduce the insect harvest. Otherwise, it may prove to be the most prolific one next summer.

Not sowing those kind.

We had snow day before yesterday.

I got two kinds of Mortgage Lifters, and found quite a few kinds. There's even an Australian version. The Boxcar Willies sound delicious. Lots of tomato sandwiches this summer. I'll put some Genovese basil in with the tomatoes.

I wish I could plant seeds. We might get snow tonight. I do have some to start in the house pretty soon but not the same as digging in the garden. I need a new apple tree this year. Something to look forward to.

KRS,I stayed up all night wondering who could have been Beths alternate IDs. I have come to the conclusion that perhaps you are pulling my leg. [one leg does appear longer tonight than the other] Either that or I am dumber than dirt.

I am sorry that your property deal fell through. That sounded like such a nice place. I know how hard it is to find just the right thing. I hope you find something else soon and can get moved as you'd hoped.
Oregon is a beautiful place. Borillar may not like to hear it but a lot of us Washingtonians already know that and would like to retire there. There is a little town named Sheridan that I like the area around. Lots of great places on the coast.

great poem Snowy

Well!!!!

I hardly think only four smilies are adequate for that post!

I only know one of them, so your leg may be a little longer but not much
Please call me Charlotte so I don't have ta change my ID.

Ha! That was only supposed to be a three smiley post! One of those was purely accidental! I hate to edit here due to those nasty little <br /> things that pop up everyhwere so since it was just an innocent smiley I left it. <<<<<<on purpose smiley

Charlotte...Now I'm not sure which leg is being pulled! KRS confessed to leg pulling..now you say there was another ID! Maybe KRS just likes pulling my legs. Not that I'm complaining, mind you.

Helen, you have out-smiled me .

edited anyway.

Helen...Make sure he pulls each leg not just one. I walked lopsided for awhile before I learned to stick out the other leg for the pulling.I'm almost evened up now. Just a few more tugs on the left and I should be ok.

Wow! The original question was "why do you post or not post here?"....

It has gone on for 5 pages now....

There are only 19 unique posting ID's (20 with mine).

7 people have made single post and all the rest are divided among the remaining 12 posters....

Does that qualify for a "clique"????

Didn't take long for it to turn personal either. That became well defined by page 2. Same people same digs....

I really get a kick out of this place!

Carry on kiddo's and enjoy!!!

SIDE BAR: I may be off a number or two in my casually gathered "stats" but I'm close.
Is this the place we can kick back, relax, and have fun! Share a story, tell a joke, write a poem, make a friend...???

Sulyn

You forgot to count the number of answers to the original question...not too many and certainly not the expected answers. Lol!

It all depends on how you define "Share a story, tell a joke, write a poem, make a friend". It's a creative and ever evolving process.

This is not a clique. Whatever it is, join the group!

You say, "I really get a kick out of this place". So, whatever we are doing, it's working.

She just couldn't stand it any more.

Helen,

"Yesterday, he said that I was "sweet and exceedingly intelligent""

I wasn't pulling your leg with that; I meant it. A person only has to see the happiness that you've brought to a doddering old fool in the dead poetry thread to know the truth of it.

Antiquary Lol!

Hmmmm...To compare my discussion of poetry with you to just a little better than watching reruns sounds like a dig against my sweet and exceedingly intelligent personality.

OK Sulyn

Add that to your analysis of this thread...one more dig and an attempt to cover up that dig with yet another dig.

ROTFL!!!

Nope, no dig. Levels is related only to content, not personalities, except for those public ones that we excoriated some.
