WELL KIDDIES-
Borillar- you know darn well that twinsoft did not ignore anything and that I have no agenda vs. Helen, but your getting rebuffed by twinsoft caused you to respond to me in kind. Enough infighting among the Dems, don't you think?
Helen- once again you are being incredibly obtuse! This board is certainly a paradigm of free speech but if everyone chose to discuss anything in any thread it would not be productive or enjoyable. It would be childish chaos. Is that what you want this board to be? I don't know what is bugging you but it certainly goes beyond this thread or board. BTW- is it a bad thing for someone to try to "moderate" a thread so as to make it interesting and to prevent too many tangents from totally taking it off topic or people from injecting personal bickering?

What, stusi is "obtuse" about this statement that I previously made to you? "Ignore me, stusi. But I will say whatever I want to say as long as it conforms to the community guidelines. I have never seen anyone chastised for straying off topic or for presenting a unique viewpoint." Please tell me, what is obtuse about that?

Once again, stusi, You will not dictate to me what I should say anywhere on this board.

Do you find that statement incredibly "obtuse"?

Perhaps if you presented a unique viewpoint...... BTW- I notice that you did not answer my question about whether or not you think it productive to have people discuss anything on any thread? You must remember when the mods would axe a thread if it went too far off topic. Why do you think they did that? Just to be a-holes? It may actually keep things MORE interesting if they stay ON topic. Is that a unique viewpoint?

I think that you are the one becomming hostile, stusi - take a Chill Pill. I only pointed out the obvious: that twinsoft had rudely ignored your request to stop talking about politics and you blasted Helen for it instead. Why did you pass up berating twinsoft for being so rude and instead zero in on Helen, then? Please explain.

Also, your attempt to lump me into the "Dem" club I find quite childish on your part. I have long enjoyed your posts, but really, with as often as I blast both parties, don't you think that getting the facts straight would be in the best interests for everyone? I mean, don't you want to be perceived as being accurate in your statements?

Relax. Take a Chill Pill, enjoy your Sunday.

Good idea!

I'm going to let my dog take me for a walk or rather a run as he sometimes prefers.

Borillar- It looked to me like after my request twinsoft was talking about you rather than politics. Hjw doesn't seem to need you to defend her- why you chose to address my supposed chastisement of her has much more to do with your problem with twinsoft than it does with me. BTW- You seem to blast one party MUCH more than the other. But if you prefer not to be categorized that is your prerogative. I'm going to watch the basketball games.

Hey guys, please stop it. This thread is getting way off base. I know you probably won't pay any attention to me but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Why not start a political thread and we can get back to pet peeves. I usually try to stay in the background but this happens way too much these days.

Truth is, I hadn't read to the end of the thread before I posted. I was responding to your rude remarks to Yellowstone. No wonder this place is dead. Anybody new shows up and they get insulted.

If political were a unique topic I could see a thread going a little of course. But it's not like there's a scarcity of political threads. Why you have to make everything about Bush and the Republicans is beyond me, but it really gives the impression you have little intelligence or imagination.

Can't you just have a little consideration for others who want to talk about something else? The sad thing is, Borillar used to be one of my favorite posters. I don't know what happened but you need to get back on the meds, dude.

Twinsoft: Cheap shot.

Borillar: I guess you didn't think my last post/link was too funny huh? I mean did you read the entire thing? Well maybe it's not a good time.

Dream of churches and pulpits...

Now why are those petty gov thugs with so much time on their hands not doing something ? How about a transmission or how come everybody needs a toruque converter, or how about banks like wells fargo sending out notices of new fees thought up by some pimple faced executive pussbag, or better yet flying crap off of TRUCKS how about jailing these basterds on the spot from now on there are way to many deaths here one lady and her daughter were killed by a Logger who had been losing logs for 20 miles without knowing it the basterd got off too with his scum sucking lawyer. To let the truth be known I do not feel insulted, I am not that thin skinned. As far as why I stopped posting to this thread. I had to go to Denver for a couple days and I just got back today.

Now where was I, hmmmmmmmmm!

Actually I did state early on in this thread that I did not want an arguement and I still don't. There would be no logical point in it at this time.

I appologize to you stusi for the thread derailment.

nycn: I clicked on the link that you provided, but it took me to a page that listed newspapers by state. I didn't see anything funny about it. What did I miss?

"The sad thing is, Borillar used to be one of my favorite posters."

SEE! There's that "Entertainment" thing again! So long as I am entertaining, I am well liked by you. But as soon as the re-runs come along, you try to change the channel with me. It's what I told yellowstone: I am a person, not a TV show with rating to worry about and its not my job to entertain you! I am like Helen: I'll exercise my First Amendment right to post on here monotonous repetitive tripe until your eyes bleed if I so chose to do so. That my "ratings" will suffer "due to monotonous content" affects me not in the least.

Yellowstone- no apology necessary
Auroranorth- As I have previously discussed debris flying off truckbeds and seriously injuring people and at the risk of offending your libertarian beliefs, what would you think about a regulation requiring tailgates on all trucks? Don't you agree that it would be a small infringement on our freedoms to at least minimally increase safety on the highways?
Borillar- It is not your rights that are at question but rather the joy you seem to share with certain others at begging the issue!

Borillar: Awww Maaannnn! I guess you had to have been there. It was supposed to be a link to an article about the mailbox pipebomber with some text in anti-gov't note that he wrote saying that there would be "more attention getters" signed, i think, "someone who cares"... Sigh.

I think that from this day foreward in each state we set up a flying off the truck crap rules that say each jerk who has things flying off his truck will be liable for the debris damage fund which will add all the damage each year + the cost of enforcement and court costs not counting lawyers fees and these clowns will be prorated a minimun of their share of the damages. + 24 hours in jail first offense. the same type of fund should be set up to bring back real telehpone booths and get ruthless on the scum who deny people services like a sheltered telephone booth in the cold.

Right! The needy must have a telephone booth in which to warm their feet and do their business.

I know that because every now and then I make a racial reference that one might get the impression that I am insensative to others suffering. But i;m not I feel that telephone booths are a part of the infrastructure of American society. I do not appreciate standing in the cold blowing wind
with sleet falling on me to try and reprot an accident because a the cellphone does not pick up in that area and b some corporate pimple faced white bread wants to save a few bucks by imaging that 51.031% of the people who might use the phone might be able to drive up to it (in 2 feet of snow). The first sign that things are falling apart is the collaspe of infrastructure. look at the bridges roads sewers and the condition of our soil and the quality of our gene pool and you will see that the time is coming when there must be a reckoning.
