want to hear somthing funny!
Today is election day in IRAQ! there is only one name on the ballot! guess who's? What insanity... Free these people from the rule of this tyrant. How could anyone say this war is simply about oil. Yes to the victor go the spoils, but wouldn't it be wonderful to free these people? What if any of you had to live under of this kind of rule? But there are many on the boards that can live quite nicely and neatly and believe there is PEACE in the world as long as we don't go to war. There is no peace for the people of Iraq, no dissent, no free speech, just repression. Its so horrible human minds are be squelched by this evil idiot. Why don't the people who hate bush, hate this man? This man is evil and he is committing an autrocity every day. He is an EGOMANIAC just like Hitler. He would have no more remorse to kill our children than a fly...and he will do it in time, if he is allowed to carry on his evil regin.

[as another person here once said...] and another thing -

Bush said diagrams of American nuclear plants were found in Afghanistan. Choose to believe it or not. But that got me to reading the NCIs website to see how vulnerable we are in that area, and they appear to believe terrorist groups could produce nuclear weapons. So....Saddam...show us you don't have any, with unlimited inspections.
http://www.nci.org/

Could terrorists build nuclear weapons? A study prepared for Nuclear Control Institute by five former U.S. nuclear weapons designers concluded that a sophisticated terrorist group would be capable of designing and building a workable nuclear bomb from stolen plutonium or highly enriched uranium, with potential yields in the kiloton range. This risk must be taken seriously, particularly in light of documented attempts by al Qaeda to acquire nuclear material and nuclear-weapon design information. Despite claims to the contrary from plutonium-fuel advocates in the nuclear power industry, effective and devastating weapons could be made using "reactor-grade" plutonium, hundreds of tons of which are processed, stored and circulated around the world in civilian nuclear commerce. Click here for documents that examine the ability of terrorists to construct nuclear weapons with materials now used in civilian nuclear commerce.

All the more reason why we should be going after Al-Queda!

With the backstabbing of Afghanistan clearly underway, it won't be long before the Taliban is back and repression is back and yes - terrorist camps will be back. Had our government not gone back on its word to help rebuild their country and create a stable democracy, it wouldn't be happening right now.

Al-Queda is attacking us all over the world - except in Iraq! And where does Bush keep harping on us to go to War at? Al-Queda? Indonesia? Pakistan? Saudi Arabia? The Sudan? No! He wants us to IGNORE THE ATTACKS and instead go after Saddam!

How could our Goverment create democracy in Afg.? This country has a history or pagentry of warlords, tribal fueds and violence. I don't see how democracy could be established quickly and effectively in this wild west situation. How could it be done? the people cannot seem to agree on anything. Its an almost impossible situation.

Borillar - A-Q ACQUIRING THEM. That could be from Saddam. Recent reports did have a small amount of a component needed to build nuclear weapons passing through Turkey. But...of course you wouldn't believe that unless you were there and saw it for yourself.

And I sure don't understand why anyone would object to him giving the UN totally open inspections to prove he doesn't.

Since the material is passing through Turkey, ATTACK TURKEY! Oh, I forgot, they are our "friends" who let us rape and pillage their country as long as the "elected" leadership gets their "aid" in cold cash. Swiss Bank account #BRIBE

mlecher - Could you please make your position on this issue a little clearer for me? All I see from your posts is criticism of what the current administration is doing. [Your right] But I don't believe I've read what you think our position should be on the subject of Iraq supporting terrorists AND not abiding by the UN sanctions. Is it okay with you that his military continuing to fire on our service people? Or are you another 'make love not war' type person?

Linda...another leap and more black and white logic. Did you learn that from George? Either you make love or war. What nonsense!

"Recent reports did have a small amount of a component needed to build nuclear weapons passing through Turkey."

That component could be headed anywhere...Iran, for example. It's interesting that funding for the Nunn/Lugar program to reduce traffic of such components was reduced. Wouldn't you think that if Bush was really interested in controlling weapons of mass destruction that he would be concerned about this problem?

BTW Linda, Bush has stated that he will ignore the UN if it stands in his way to attack Iraq. Isn't it sheer hypocricy for him to criticize Iraq or any other country for violating UN directives?

"If the United States can unilaterally claim the right to invade Iraq because of that country's violations of Security Council resolutions, other council members could logically claim the right to invade states that are also in violation; for example, Russia could claim the right to invade Israel, France could claim the right to invade Turkey and Britain could claim the right to invade Morocco. The US insistence on the right to attack unilaterally could seriously undermine the principle of collective security and the authority of the UN, and in so doing would open the door to international anarchy."
