Thank you for that reply to my original question, however, I still fail to understand why a President, this one or any President absolutely has to be in Washington, DC at his desk, in the oral office hard at work in order to run the country.

ed because; Oops, I temporarilly forgot which President was in in office, sorry my bad. I meant the oval not oral office.

Yellowstone, I never said they have to be there 100% of the time. But, Bush himself has stated he hates being in Washington. So, that's why I asked what excuse will he use and where will he go when he can't be out there campaigning to justify his being away from the White House. I also think he's become quite a ham and loves to be in front of the camera as long as he doesn't have to answer any serious questions. Why doesn't he hold press conferences like other presidents have always done. He only makes statements like on his weekly radio speech.

Katy, I was never a resident... my parents were. That law doesn't apply.

You say I'm bitching about things... where?

You say my birth was accidental. How did you reach this conclusion?

You're looking for some kind of arguement, not a discussion Katy. Your posts only show your insecurities about what being American means. I don't agree with you, but I understand where you're coming from. Why don't you think about things for awhile and maybe we can talk later Katy.

I just read your mini-me comment.

Let me give you a piece of advice. Chococake is nobody's mini-me. If you are under the misunderstanding that you are chating with chococake, a sweet piece of cake, you have a surprise in store for your wimpy ass. Take your silly questions and stuff them in that orifice - or rather "office" that you just mentioned.

Well, that's not what you said before. You said you were born in the United States and only moved to Canada because of a "divorce". So are you saying that you moved with your custodial parent to Canada because they divorced? Apparently, you "resided" here at one time, because you said you were born here.

I'm saying that from the information you've provided, that your so-called citizenship is "accidental". Not your birth. Of course I have no idea if you were an "accident" or not, and I could not care less. LoL! I am talking about your "citizenship". When it's convenient for you, you claim U.S. citizenship through your "dual-citizenship", but then in the same breath, you claim you can't vote because you are really Canadian.

I'm not looking for any argument, kraftdinner. You, on the other hand, insist on putting your Canadian two-cents into every topic regarding U.S. politics. And we all know the conversion rate of Canadian currency to U.S. dollars. So save your Canadian cents for Canada, where it's worth something. Canadian opinions about our elected representatives are (like your "dual-citizenship) worthless. In other words, kraftdinner, your "Canadian Opinion" about the U.S. doesn't mean squat.

Choco, I apologize for my part in derailing your thread. I'd like the opportunity though, to help Katy understand my position.

a/ That law applies to if you had a previous residence in the U.S. I didn't. My parents did, so the admendment doesn't apply to me.

b/ My citizenship was not an accident in the way you put it. My family was American. The rest is none of your business.

c/ "I'm not looking for any argument, kraftdinner. You, on the other hand, insist on putting your Canadian two-cents into every topic regarding U.S. politics. Hmmm.... Your statements are narrow minded Katy. Maybe you're not as American as you think.

So you were taken to Canada as a newborn, eh, kraftdinner? Other than being born here, and residing here for a few short days (or months) you have no experience of living at all in the United States.

b/ My citizenship was not an accident in the way you put it. My family was American. The rest is none of your business.
Well, yes your citizenship certainly is an "accident" of your birth. You are only a citizen BECAUSE you "happened" to be born on U.S. soil to American parents. Yet, you have never "lived" here (you say). So you have no experience on which to base your constant gripes about the U.S. You never went to school here, you never voted here, heck, you've never even held a job here! What do you *know* about the U.S and being a U.S. citizen? Nothing. Diddlysquat.

The rest is none of your business.
Oh, you have it backwards, dear. We, our politics, and whom we elect (or don't) is none of your business. You are after all, a Canadian.

Again Katy, you appear narrow-minded to a fault. Step outside the box for a moment and try to understand that what your goverment does, effects everyone on the planet, including Canadians. To my knowledge, nuclear fall-out, chemical and biological contaminants, don't stop at borders. My de-valued 2 cents is worth a heck of a lot more than seeing a dead American who's only fault was believing in a corrupt government. I'll say anything I want to against this war and that has nothing to do with being American. I'll continue to #*!@ about Bush until he's out of office because it doesn't take an I.Q. to realize what shape the U.S. is in. If you don't like it, there's nothing I can do, but I won't stay quiet about my views about your government. The rest is juvenile.

Fine, kraftdinner. Say whatever you want, just don't try to justify your *opinions* about MY country by posturing yourself as an American like your *opinions* matter. You're not, and they don't. You, my dear, are a hypocrite and a poseur of the worst kind.

The opinions of those from other countries matter very much to this country. Just ask Bush and Gang. They suck the toes and kiss the a$$es of the Saudi Princes to keep their opinions favorable to us and the Oil flowing. Even though there is a proven money trail (which is why they are being sued) from the princes themselves straight into the sides of the WTC. Yet Bush and Gang continue to SUCK THEIR BUTTS!

No problem krafty.

KatyD, I've seen you be rude before, but you are really nasty today.

What difference does it make to you if someone that lives in another country has an opinion about your president or anything else that goes on here? Or is it only because it's kraftdinner? I happen to value her opinion, and her eyes are open, unlike yours.

I'm beginning to see some advantage in KatyD's philosophy. Let's not give a dam about the president of Iraq. After all, we can't vote there.

Now, Helen. You just may be on to something there.

I'm not "narrowminded", kraftdinner. I'm just not ignorant like you. You really should pay more attention to your own country's problems of which there are too many too innumerate. I'm much too polite to point them out to you. Clean your own house before you worry about your neighbor's.

Thanks choco. I feel the same way about you!

The only help for the ignorant is enlightenment Katy. Perhaps you wouldn't mind spending some time helping me in the areas which I appear unknowledgeable.

... "your own country's problems". Knock, knock Katy... my own country is the U.S. I get the feeling you are unable to grasp the concept as of yet.

Be sure to take your Toilet Paper with you on your way out.

What, do you think for one minute that if you make a superfluous statement such as that, that I am going to immediately run out of here.

The next step for you and Helen is to take the cowards way out and put me on ignore. I can feel it coming.

Neither of you can handle it when someone comes in here and posts responses and/or questions in a manner that's not unlike your own derisive attitude towards President Bush.

What comes around goes around, get used to it.

No, kraftdinner. Your own country is not the U.S. How could it be? You've never resided here (so you say), never voted here, did not go to school here. What in the world make you think that the U.S. is "your" country? How could you possibly know what it is like to be an American citizen? You are the one who is unable "to grasp the concept". You have a piece of paper that says you are a citizen "by birth", but you have not contributed one iota to what you call "your country. You don't even know our form of government! (as born out by the many questions I've seen you ask here). Why do you continue with the charade?
