... donuts are now in Canada with a new store that just opened in London (Ontario). They've had to put up a tent outside because of the long line-ups. Are these donuts really that great? I thought I was reborn when I had my first roll from CINNIBON... are these as good?

They are very good, but I don't think they are that much better than Dunkin' Donuts. They are now being sold in gas stations and other places as well.

the ones sold by the resellers are as good as Dunkin Donuts...but the ones that come hot off the line at the actual bakery stores literally melt in your mouth...when we go to the big city (twice a year) it's a definite stop and a few dozen to go back to the ranch...what's a cinibon?

You asked "what are cinabons?" They are 670 calories, 49 grams of sugar and 34 grams of fat. LOL!!!

Also excellent. Either one would kill me... with sugar. hahaha!

Here's a Cinnabon prof. (sorry about my initial spelling). They look normal, but they're about 9" wide. Helen is right, they're unbelieveably bad for you and you have to go through detox to get off them, but it's worth it.

People want whatever is not available.
When Coor's beer was not available in Michigan I would bring a trunk full back to Michigan and you'd think I was handing out the crown jewels when I made a gift of it to people.
Now that it is in every store it is no big deal.

I wouldn't walk across the street to get a Krispy Kreme doughnut. Our local grocery store makes better doughnuts.

But I think part of it is as the OP mentioned- the novelty.

Kraftdinner

I have never been able to understand why you are so mean to me. We all know that you posted that cinnabon photograph with evil intensions directed squarely at me. While I sit here this morning eating 1/3 cup of oatmeal and water with black coffee and 1/2 cup of skim milk, I am forced to gaze longingly at that cinnabon. You knew that would happen!

I hope that you have a George Bush pretzel experience!!!

I'm in Horsham, Tom, right around the corner from the air station. Get to see the black helicopters on a regular basis. Nice postcard.

Kraftdinner

So you admit, premeditated provocation with no remorse! At least you aren't giving me a Trent Lott apology...all words and no meaning.

You flit about with that Kraftdinner, wholesome, food for children persona attached to your identity while you stab everybody in the back followed by a biggrin smiley face. Hahaha! Don't think for a minute that I don't know what's going on here.

I also see that others in this thread - from the home of greasy cuisine and amusement parks need to shed some Philadelphia arrogance.

Are there lilac trees in the heart of town? LOL!

Great!

Last time I was there, I got stuck behind a horse and buggy driving tourists through the city. That was about 20 years ago.... probably before you were born or shortly thereafter. LOL!

Tom, back in 79 my husband was living in SF, and saw Peter Boyle and George C Scott eating out. He went up to Peter Boyle, and asked Peter Boyle "How's your dad? I like your movies, guys, but his dad is my Uncle Petey." He said George C looked very confused, and DH and Peter Boyle were talking about his dad for a while.

How about Action in the Afternoon?

And "Drats, foiled again?"

Helen, that's not a pleasant place to be stuck.

And I take juvenile as a compliment (sometimes).

He didn't remember the bowling alley, but he was reading your post and chuckling. Then I had to hear how Annette blossomed over a summer.
