Interesting. There have been two major power groups in the GOP: Trent Lott's Old Time Southern Bigot faction running the Congress and the Bush-Cheney's Eisenhower Millitary-Industrial Complex faction running the White House (and it appears like they share candidates on the Supreme Court.) If First becomes Senate Majority Leader, I wonder what those Bigots will have to do for fun and also, what it means for the future of this country.

Good! But I am betting he was offered some juicy chairmanship for this... it will be interesting in January to see how this all shakes out.

Maybe reparations in Mississippi should start with Lott's Senate seat. He's not answering the phone.
