For those of you that wanted to know why I was not posting, I was busy elsewhere. The chicken-hawks are the ones that dodge the war, but are prompting other people’s children to go die for the oil so that they can reap the reward; they are a bunch of cowards. Some of you are screaming for a war in Iraq, you should not be on the board posting, you should be in Iraq leading the charge to get Saddam out and control the oil wells.

I did not waste time listenening to George Bush spew out a bunch of Bovine excrement; it is usually the same old garbage.
1. Lets get Saddam.
2. Lets grab the oil.
3. Lets give more tax break for the rich.
4. Ignore the lower and middle class.
5. Lets payback my campaign supporters with huge tax breaks,
6. Lets get some more contracts for Brown & Roots, so Dick Cheney can have a bigger stock portfolio.
7. Lets issue some more defense contracts so that my dad in the Carlyle group can increase his portfolio.

Each week it is a different pack of lies why Iraq needs to be invaded now. After each lie is discredited, there is always a new one each week. Next thing they will tell us that Saddam stole the pink flamingo from my neighbor’s yard, so we need to bomb him. If there are weapons of mass destruction, where are they? North Korea admits to having nuclear weapons, but Bush decided to negotiate with them. The inspectors cannot find any weapons, but Bush still wants to invade. This is like a schoolyard bully, he will only attack the ones that cannot fight back, North Korea has the capabilities to fight back but he uses diplomacy. Oh I forgot, Iraq has the much-needed oil and North Korea does not.

No, your side already took that position. They're over their acting as body shields for Saddam. They're PRO Sadam.

Linda:

I try to keep above immature and petty behavior of labeling other posters on the board, if I do not have a constructive response to a point that they make. It does not matter to me if I am labeled a Pro Saddam. I am against invading another country to control their oil, Let the United Nation and their inspectors do their job.

oh, and no, the military will not take an old lady like myself.

Go to Iraq on my own, you ask? Like the human sheild volunteers?
No. And that is not an immature answer, there really are people going there to strategically place themselves in and around Bahgdad, as real human sheilds for the Iraqi people.

Pro War? No. Support our troops? MOST definitly. We have our own going, or rather left already.

kennycam - Show me please, where the rules say I can't play around when I choose. Somedays are more serious than others for me. Yesterday was a VERY serious day and I already addressed my opinions to all the questions you've brought forward. Today I'm feeling more lighthearted and less likely to be rude to someone like yourself. We do have an Ignore button here. So please use it on my userid if my statements bother you so.

NTS - Two weeks huh? Oh what fun. No, you're not in trouble....he gets that way every-once-in-a-while. So far, he's always gotten over it.

Near The Sea:

Yes, I try to think of every logical reason why there is a push for a war in the Middle East. I even have discussions with my graduate students in International Marketing class about this situation.

Although there is a push by the president to get the public focusing on the war and not on the failing economy, there is a need for control of the oil in the Middle East. The United States is bankrupt and the situation is getting worse every day. The national debt is over 14 trillion dollars and is increasing by over 1.5 billion dollars every day. All the taxes that are collected by the government each year is not even enough to pay off the interest on the debt much less the debt.

By controlling the oil, the United States will be a net exporter of oil instead of being an importer. With all the SUV’s and military vehicles, although oil is costing the country a lot the United States need as much oil as it can get. The situation is so crucial that with the cutback in the Venezuelan oil production because of the strike, the US had to doubled the importation of oil from Iraq (YES, IRAQ).

My posting is not an Anti-Bush or Anti-American view, it is a situation of not letting the government rip you off and lie to you. You have to open your eyes and see that the government is screwing you over. The government does not care about the national debt, and the struggles that the middle and lower class is experiencing. Every new government comes in, add to the debt, leave it for the next generation to take care of, and hope that when the country goes to hell in a hand basket, they won’t be around.

But you went farther than your ideas about the US need for oil, kennycam. You accused our government of the 9/11 attacks. You accused the Israelis of being in on it, to the point of repeating the lie about how "the Jews stayed away from the WTC" on 9/11. That's an outright lie, and has been proven so. It's a vicious despicable lie, so when you accuse Bush or our government of "lying" we have to look at the source (you) which has zero credibility.

English does not appear to be your native language...

Anyone who owns a car, lawnmower, motorized scooter, etc. uses oil.

Until we can come up with a viable alternative, we need oil for this country to run. Oil provides our livihood.

What's wrong with us controlling the oil in Iraq instead of Saddam. No more palaces for him (he has enough), no more military build up. Everyone agrees he is dangerous and should not be in power.

I'm not for war but if our country ends up in it, I'm rooting for US! We don't have much control of what our Pres. does but if he decides to throw punches, we should support those whose lives are being risked~as we use our oil EVERYDAY.

"Evidence linking these Israelis to 9/11 is classified. I cannot tell you about evidence that has been gathered. It's classified information."
-- US official quoted in Carl Cameron's Fox News report on the Israeli spy ring and its connections to 9-11.

"Investigators within the DEA, INS and FBI have all told Fox News that to pursue or even suggest Israeli spying ... is considered career suicide."
-- Carl Cameron, as quoted in The Spies Who Came In From The Art Sale

"I think there is very compelling evidence that at least some of the terrorists were assisted not just in financing -- although that was part of it -- by a sovereign foreign government... It will become public at some point when it's turned over to the archives, but that's 20 or 30 years from now. "
-- Senator Graham as quoted in Senator: At Least One Foreign Country Assisted the 9/11 Terrorists

"While I agree with you, if I say anything about US geopolitical interests with Israel, I might as well clean off my desk."
-- Unnamed reporter as quoted in American Media Censorship and Israel

Well at least you could put your so-called proof "quotes" into the proper context.

from Carl Cameron's Fox News 4 part series
There is no indication that the Israelis were involved in the 9-11 attacks, but investigators suspect that they Israelis may have gathered intelligence about the attacks in advance, and not shared it. A highly placed investigator said there are -quote – "tie-ins." But when asked for details, he flatly refused to describe them, saying, – quote – "evidence linking these Israelis to 9-11 is classified.

He later goes on to say (and the Israeli government has concurred) that warnings were passed on to US intelligence just prior to 9/11 about some type of impending attack, although there is some dissent as to just how specific and detailed the information was.

You can find the transcript of Cameron's series with a little effort and read it yourself. He NEVER reported that Israel was behind nor involved in 9/11. The whole series had to do with intelligence gathering by the Israeli government specifically against Arabs (so they say). Of course they spy. So do we. But there's absolutely nothing in Cameron's report to bolster your lie about Israel and 9/11.

Your other "quotes" don't prove your lie. They have to do (again) with Israeli intelligence, and nothing to do with US/Israeli involvement or participation of 9/11. Senator Graham wasn't talking about Israel..he was referring to the Saudis.

But the Jews make convenient scapegoats once again...hmm?

And by the way kennycam, using conspiracy websites like whatreallyhappened.comto bolster your wacko theories doesn't help your credibility at all. Just make you look all the more gullible.

You're too easy...

It is not a matter of gullible; it is a matter of thinking for oneself and not believing the propaganda that is spewed out by the corporate media. You need to start reading newspapers from other countries and get a different perspective on the news.

“But the Jews make convenient scapegoats once again...hmm?”

The Jews are not being made a scapegoat, they have been pushing the US to attack Iraq and remove one of their enemies. They help to orchestrate the destruction of the WTC so that people will develop anger and hatred for the Arabs, this way there will be limited sympathy for the Palestine when the IDF try to murder them and steal their land.

The motto of Israel's spy agency, Mossad, is, according to recently defected Mossad agent Victor Ostrovsky: "By way of deception thou shalt do war."
