Wouldn't that make us Anti-Communist?... come on think...

Since when are they Anti-American? You also have slipped into the realms of madness & imaginary boogey men.

Nah, you just don't want any of them slant-eyed gooks infringing on your territory. And I expected that when your Neo-Nazi/Conservative regime is in power, you all will hang Powell and Rice from the highest trees for trying to be so uppity....

Oh yes...
Boogity,boogity!

Still no pictures of the perps, maybe your "heros" don't want them indentified?

"Beware the leader who bangs the drums of war in order to whip the citizenry into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a double-edged sword. It both boldens the blood, just as it narrows the mind. And when the drums of war have reached a fever pitch and the blood boils with hate and the mind has closed, the leader will have no need in seizing the rights of the citizenry. Rather, the citizenry, infused with fear and blinded by patriotism, will offer up all of their rights unto the leader and gladly so. How do I know? For this is what I have done. And I am Caesar."

It's too bad these people do their illegal crimes under the guise of a Peace loving antiwar protest.

It makes the school kids that really protest (they're actually not sure what they are protesting) the war, look like criminals too.

You can forgive the young for being caught up in the mob mentality. They just want to have a good time. The older ones are either stupid, mentality ill or just violent.

This was a riot, it was a crime not a protest. No free speech when you damage someone else's property.

Thanks God I don't live in the land of fruits and nuts. That wouldn't happen here. After all the East Coast is the Right Coast as the West Coast is the Left Coast.

If anyone should be up in arms against what happened it should be the American's against the war. These were just people against America.

Amen,

Colin!

After all the East Coast is the Right Coast as the West Coast is the Left Coast.

I resemble that remark!! LOL

I live on the West Coast, not California, but the great Pacific Northwest, and true, there are tons of liberals here, but I'm not!

Linda!!! Way to Go!

NTS - You sure you don't lean so far 'left' you've joined the 'right'? [kidding] Saying that because someone here recently said the far 'right' were communists....and I thought that was so funny....

clarksville - Well I know two of the groups they listed on that show were A.N.S.W.E.R. and they stated it was a front for the Workers World Party. When I checked ANSWERs website, their 'about me' page has their sponcers/donator lists there and severel communist names were mentioned.

Another Marxist group they listed was Workers World Party, a self-styped "communist party" whose mecca is North Korea. Read their about me page too.

If you get time, check out there websites see for yourself Fox wasn't fibbing.

These organizations plus the other one's that were mentioned, aren't just protesting wars.....they're against our form of government. Sad...very sad.

"...whose mecca is North Korea."

I knew it, they're all connected! But Linda, please, you're getting ahead of the program. This week, Al-Queda = Saddam Hussein, it's not 'til next week that Al-Queda = North Korea. Be patient.

meadowlark - Yes, didn't think our little email list could do all that.

Happy to hear this:

As the week ended, the fence had become a rallying point of patriotism, drawing people from all over Southern California who heard about it on the news and wanted to help restore it.

By Thursday, 200 new American flags were again flying at the site, along with new posters and pictures of Sept. 11 victims and of local soldiers and their families.

I think that's wonderful!!!

When most of your troops return, don't forget to built another peace memorial.

Oh and don't forget to send your satue of liberty back to France.

Your right to bear arms is obviously deeply imbeded into you psyche.

austbounty,
The statue of Liberty was more an atonement then a gift.

France didn't want the refuges from the wars and whatever of the times. We took them.

Taking the burden off France.

Oh, please. The Statue of Liberty was a gift to celebrate our country's Centennial. Our government didn't want to pay the $ to build the pedistal, and it was left to schoolchildren to donate their pennies & nickels to pay for it.

Linda thanks for the info.

Did you catch A.N.S.W.E.R's CSPAN coverage this weekend? I watched it abit, but turned it before my stomach turned.

As for the N. Korean's, there is no such thing as getting ahead of ourselves.

Heard China is considering invading Cambodia (?). It would be a good time for them to do that while we are busy....

Hi Clarksville - No, we rarely watch Cspan. But having heard some of the anti-American statements these groups have made before, I can understand your reaction. Most likely would have felt the same way.

I worry for the future of our country as these groups become stronger and stronger. But, I try to console myself with the thought that a majority of Americans still hold the belief that we are living in the best country in the world, and won't want our way of life to be taken away.

You should visit Quebec, Aust'. The French are not sufficiently French for them. Leaves them stranded in a unique island of snobbishness.

Linda, I heard that the French has stated that if Iraq does have weapons of mass destruction that they would apologize? Did I hear that right?

http://www.auctionwatch.com/mesg/read.html?num=28&thread=173390

I think that when it is revealed what Iraq has, there will be a lot of thankful people amongst these groups.

Actually, I can see both sides of the issue, but some of what the protesters say is just outright "stupid" IMO . I do lean toward the attack. IMO no matter what our opinion, we must support the troups and their loved ones.

"Linda I think USA is full of xenophobes."

Is this a fear of Xena?
