Can't say for sure, though the democrats still don't seem to get it, so I'm not very encouraged. I respect the hell out of Nader, but do feel somewhat responsible, as a Naderite in Florida, for putting the imbecile into high office.
The girls and I are fine. It's scary how fast they are growing up...thanks for asking.

Until recently, I thought that Reamond was exceedingly courteous and had a different slant politically than he does now. So I was especially interested in what appears to me to be a political and personality reversal. That was just one thread that I happened to read. There are others.
Since you are a Republican, it seems that you are in good company on this board.

I can say *generally*, yes I am Republican, but believe it or not, I have voted for Democrats before. I tend to vote for the person not the party. It just so happens, the majority happen to be Republican
But, seriously, I have done so, and in the future, if their is a Democratic candidate that I happen to like, I would vote for him/her.
I voted for Dixie Lee Ray

Helen, my politics haven't chaged one iota. The problem with the liberal progressive movement is that they have always debased patriotism and look to world collective-think in matters of national security.
The left has to accept responsibility for their own security matters in a unilateral way.
To put it metaphorically, you have to get your hands dirty. History has shown us that when it comes to protecting yourself in the international arena, there is no one to count on but yourself.

It'd be funny were it not so boring how republicans now say that clinton did what bush wants to do when they gave him so much grief for bombing 'illegally' in Northern Iraq and the 'no fly' zone in accordance with the UN dictates set forth at the end of the desert storm war, ..which action has continued almost daily until now and is wholly different than initiating action in Southern Iraq as proposed by bush.
