These are not "bait" threads. These threads are truth threads.

You go to protests, you support commies and socialists, anarchists, and fools that would give our way of life over to terrorists and Stalinists.

No reamond, these are YOUR truth threads, filled with silly remarks based on a very narrow minded interpretation of what the 'opposition' is saying, nothing more.

kraftisdimmer,

You made a reference to your pals being called names, however you failed to recall that in another thread, Helen called me hysterical because I was pounding her with my posts. They were similar to hard and fast, like the missiles creating the fireworks in Baghdad.

Yeah Kraft- let's see you deny just WHO is organizing these protests. Just WHO is making the money selling the signs, buttons and t-shirts at the protests.

Anyone who is living in this country and enjoying the fruits and freedoms of this country and would join in with these commie and socialist groups for any reason deserves no quarter from Americans.

It is dispictable to support these groups and Saddam Hussein by participating in these protests while all these brave men and woman valliantly fight to liberate Iraq.

For those of you who don't believe your protesting isn't carrying water for Saddam Hussein, think again. Hussein certainly loves what you're doing. It demoralizes our troops, which may cost lives.

The war has started. My first thought was we need to wait for more backing from the world community. If we go into Iraq on our own, then Saddam Hussein will no longer be the bad guy. We will be.

Sure enough, in Seattle, New York, Egypt, Germany, France (of course, France) and all over the world, thousands have taken to the streets in protest. I knew it was coming.

But then I started to remember some things. I remembered how I felt as I watched the twin towers fall. I remembered how I felt when I learned of the aircraft that had crashed into the Pentagon and in a field in Pennsylvania. I remembered the anger I felt when I realized that there were those in this world willing to kill thousands of innocent people in order to prove their cause is just. I remembered our president saying, "this must never happen again." And I remembered the American people, as well as most of the civilized peoples of the world, agreeing with him.

I guess I can't blame the people in France and Germany and elsewhere protesting our actions in Iraq. It seems many Americans have forgotten how they cried in September 2001, first in sorrow and then in rage. If our own people have forgotten, how can I expect the people of other countries to remember?

The latest CNN poll now has 76% of Americans supporting the war.

Take heart. The protesters in France and Germany and other foreign countries are not against removing Hussein, they are against the strength that America now weilds as the sole superpower.

I've stated before that I'm against any protestor who uses violence of any kind, as a way to be heard, no matter what they're protesting. People against bloodshed that are violent, have personal baggage imo, giving the real, non-violent protestors a bad name.

I agree that communism is dead but socialism is a very real threat to our way of life. There are lots of Americans who would like to see the US turn into another France. They want a Big Government that will control the economy, redistribute wealth, take away our rights like gun ownership and make us dependent on the state.

Quite frankly - who cares? Sponsorship is an advertising avenue but if you don't advertise your sponsorship you don' advance your cause

So it would be just the same as if the KKK, Aryan Brotherhood and others et al...
who is sponsoring these marches... I wonder how many would still be out there?

That is not a valid argument, unless of course you are saying the average anti-war protestor is not intelligent enough to know who they are representing... now that makes more sense.

No Helen, I didn't or had forgotten what the hell ANSWER WAS .... now I know.... and they are collecting money for their party, either the Socialist or Communist Party, if I look in any voters pamphlet around here on major elections, there IS socialist and communist party candidates running for President. And I'm sure, now, that money is used for their campaigns.

kraft Their tactics aren't working because you, Donny, prof, aust, snowy, Helen, etc., are giving logical explanations to support your views and end up getting called commies, liars, stupid, etc... a resort used by children when they're not getting anywhere.

I can't believe you said that. Anytime here, that posters are in FAVOR of this war, and think its the right thing, and TRY to explain why, we and other posters are called NEO NAZIS NEO RIGHT and more... and you know this. Though I believe you have not gone all out like HELEN and the rest, you just give your everywhere you post, mostly right after Helens posts

Helen read in another thread... you said its about Bushs power and OIL.... there it is again... NO ITS NOT about the goddamn oil..... I mean even your liberal news media will tell you that! They need to protect the oil, because the oil there belongs to those IRAQI people and so they will be eating again.... something you had said also, the poor the starving, they were poor and starving and victimized to the frikking end by that dictator. They do want liberation. Somewhere in the back of your mind, you have to know that that country is f*cked up, and needs help, needs this Saddam OUT, and out now, either dead or behind bars and chained.

I am beginning to understand these low-brained Bushbot fools.

There was an article written which basically explained that too many Americans will believe anything, They mean ANYTHING. All you have to do is say the "good" things, whether true or not and the good little American will believe it because they are TOO DAMNED LAZY TO LOOK FOR THE TRUTH! They want it spoon-fed to them through "entertainment".

What these warmongering ANTI-AMERICANS(They continually wipe their butts with the evil CONSTITUTION) is for us to go away or keep quiet because the TRUTH threatens their extremely little world. Their pea-sized brains can't take it more than a sound bite at a time, so they insult and call us "communists" when they know absolutely it isn't true. But it is all they know, they haven't got a lick of sense between the bunch of them and they can't rebut, so they insult, insult, insult...they lose...

"Beware the leader who bangs the drums of war in order to whip the citizenry into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a double-edged sword. It both boldens the blood, just as it narrows the mind. And when the drums of war have reached a fever pitch and the blood boils with hate and the mind has closed, the leader will have no need in seizing the rights of the citizenry. Rather, the citizenry, infused with fear and blinded by patriotism, will offer up all of their rights unto the leader and gladly so. How do I know? For this is what I have done. And I am Caesar."

With lightning speed, U.S. and British troops moved successfully in the war's opening days to control key parts of Iraq's southern oil fields. Just as importantly, they secured crucial oil gathering points and the major export terminals on the Persian Gulf. Iraq's northern fields also appeared to have avoided damage.

Destruction of the fields and shipping terminals had been a potential nightmare for U.S. war planners. They worried that Iraqi President Saddam Hussein might order Iraq's wells set ablaze as he did Kuwait's wells toward the end of the Gulf War a dozen years ago.

But U.S. planners already are mapping strategy to get Iraq's oil flowing again.

The Pentagon has contacted a number of major oil industry service companies -- among them Halliburton Co., once run by Vice President Dick Cheney -- to repair any of Iraq's wells that are damaged and assess everything from wells to pipelines and pumping stations.

One problem is that so little is known about the condition of Iraq's oil infrastructure.

The last time an outsider produced an assessment was three years ago. It found "dilapidated" conditions because of poor maintenance, neglect and pressure on oil managers to keep production as high as possible, oil experts said.

Near, I have repeatedly stated that I respect and appreciate posters with opposing opinions. I've never called anyone names because of their views and won't start now. I can also appreciate the predicament - those that oppose war think there might be other solutions, while those who agree with war believe all the solutions are used up. We are even at war with each other on this board, not with the intent to compromise, but with the intent to prove the other side wrong, while all the while knowing there is no right answer.

And as far as Helen goes, I share her beliefs on this subject and admire her ability to answer people's rude comments to her, with dignity ~ hence the smilies. Is that so bad?

Thats fine that you share in her beliefs, and admire her ability to answer people's rude comments, than you find it admirable when she is consistently rude to posters also?

Helen, I am sure you were aware that there are lots of oil fields there.

Yikes, ack, yuck but don't remember, where did I say neener?

But, I "memember" (as my kids used to say)

Awesome!
