donny,
My hair is fairly white now. Was light Brown for many years.

Glad the trouble with the Image excited you. Shows a bit of a maturity problem I believe.

Here's something I posted some time ago. Maybe it will help you.

Very interesting. Tells the good and bad of how we got to this point.

If you don't, you're not alone. I saw a poll recently where 69% of American respondants said if no womd or other banned weapons are found, they still consider us to have been justified in starting this war.

Some of us knew in 1991 that this should of been done, we didn't need 9/11 to open our eyes...

Yes, donny and I'm glad we finally have a president with enough strength to take action, not just quickly bomb and then pretend Saddam doesn't/hasn't presented a threat.....maybe they were right...it was just a diversion from what was happening at the time.

Amen, Linda!

(shaking head in disgust) I am just amazed at the attitudes of some of the people here...

" ::Your two reasons are in there, but 1441 was the justification we claimed for this war... Remember? ::

You, know the ironic part is, I had. 1441 has become the new Osama. When reminded we remember that it is the official justifcation for our actions but it it's name has seeming disappeared from our vocabulary."

Exactly. And it's not a coincidence that we all seem to have forgotten the same thing, there's been an all out effort to push this to the back of our conciousness by focussing our attention on other things, emotive things.

What a load of manure. 1441 is just a string of resolutions that have been ignored or that the security council has refused to enforce.

One reason rarely mentioned is that we ceased hostilities against Iraq under an agreement that the inspectors would be shown the weapons and that the inspectors would witness the destruction of the weapons.

Due to non-enforcement by ther UN, this turned into a cat and mouse game with the inspectors. The inspectors were never there to "look" for weapons.

So the inspectors show evidence that the weapons exist, Iraq claims the weapons do not exist or they were destroyed andf refuse to offer proof.

As soon as Iraq quit cooperating, the US was justified in whacking them. It makes no difference is some or no weapons are found, the agreement was you do this or we topple your governemnt.

And what kind of sissy talk is this about "creating more terrorists" ? This is the talk of a defeatist and someone whom the terrorists have already beaten. If you are so scared that it prevents you from acting, then get out of the way and let the real men get the job done.

Reamond - please do not presume to present yourself as any type of authority on my feelings or reactions. I do not live in fear of terrorism. I live my life exactly as I please, if harms way finds me, so by it, but in the meantime, I travel as I wish and I live my life as I wish.

That said - It is not "sissy" nor is it "defeatist" to accept the fact that sick and delusioned indivuduals, otherwise known as Muslim Extremists will use images of masses of Iraqi soldiers killed by Americans to manipulate young and susceptible men and women who do not not have access to the realities of the situation that this is proof of the "evils of the western empire" and to manipulate them into being the next round of suicide bombers.

By all means be brave, be supportive, but don't be blind to reality.

What a pure unadulterated crock of BS. They'll get the images they need no matter what we do or do not do. How naive and silly such a position is.
