You're right, twelvepole . . . I apologize to sheep everywhere . . .
I can't make sense of mlecher's response addressed to me, but hey, coherence really isn't a priority for someone like that.
mlecher quote:
"The administration stated clearly they knew EXACLY where the weapons were."
I would be interested to see anything in print where this claim was made, since I already know it is erroneous and typical of the exaggerrated comments made by the anti-Bush mob.
This string is something I think we alll knew was coming, a last-gasp feeble-minded attack on the administration in the waning days before more proof of WoMD smacks the naysayers upside the head.

fern, Bush has stated many times that they knew where the WOMD were secretly hidden, before and after the war. IMHO, Bush will lose the re-election if nothing is found. You can't go to war with a country and edit the pretence throughout it without some flack.
What won't work bigcity?

OK, I see.... you don't need html, just ubb....
Just replace your html tags with an [ img ] tag at the front (no spaces between the brackets and the letters) and [ /img ] at the end.
So....: <img src="http://pluto.spaceports.com/~lms/v19.jpg">
Should look like....: [ img ]http://www.pluto.spaceports.com/~Ims/v19.jpg[ /img ]

kraft - your quote;
"fern, Bush has stated many times that they knew where the WOMD were secretly hidden, before and after the war."
As I challenged mlecher, please provide links to reputable sources for quotes where Bush or his administration ever said they knew exactly where the WoMD are.
Good luck.

fern, multiple pages came up on a quick Google search. Type in : bush wmd iraq : to view the list.
"On Dec. 5, just two days before the Iraqis filed the declaration regarding WMD, the Bush administration widely announced it had "solid" evidence that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction. Once the Iraqi declaration was filed, the Bush administration responded with "great scepticism" to the 12,000 page Iraqi declaration. "The president of the United States and the secretary of defense would not assert as plainly and bluntly as they have that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction if it was not true, and if they did not have a solid basis for saying it," White House spokesman Ari Fleischer said at a regular briefing."

please provide links to reputable sources for quotes where Bush or his administration ever said they knew exactly where the WoMD are. Not that they knew they had them.
It really won't matter anyway....because then all the lefties do is claim as they have said in the past, "If they don't find them, they'll plant them."

linda gets it.
The left loves to misquote President Bush; they want everyone else to be as clueless as they are.
"solid evidence" has been found already, in undeclared WoMD still unaccounted for by Iraq.
Let's say, just for the sake of argument, that Saddam's regime "misplaced" or "let slip through the cracks" some of the TONS of deadly chemical and biological weapons DOCUMENTED BY THE UN INSPECTORS PRIOR TO 1998 (since they can't prove they were destroyed): is that the sign of a regime which deserves to exist?
Not in my world.

The truth is that it made no difference to the Bush administration. Otherwise, they would have allowed the UN inspectors time to complete their inspection. What difference would a few weeks make when you are facing a massacre of thousands of people?
The bush administration was always very careful to dance around the issue of exactly where the weapons might be located. That is why Powell's presentation was unsuccessful.
They made statements such as this...
"I cannot tell you everything that we know. But what I can share with you, when combined with what all of us have learned over the years, is deeply troubling."
transcrip of Powell's presentation to the U.N.

You're getting the issues mixed up fern. Whether Iraq has WOMD is a separate issue from whether Saddam was a bad man that needed to be removed - nobody denies that part. The U.S. went to war with Iraq because of the threat of WOMD coming from Iraq. Because that was the pretense, it's important for the world to see these weapons. It has nothing to do with being right or left. If no weapons are found, it will make Bush's administration look like they had ulterier motives.

You missed the complete statement, Linda. After 12 years, ......
I added, "What difference would a few weeks make when you are facing a massacre of thousands of people?" That's nothing to LOL about, Linda.
While many Americans were led to believe that removal of weapons of mass destruction was the main goal of this war, NOW, the Bush administratin is in the embarrassing position of trying to explain why there are no weapons to remove.
The real reason for this war was to secure the powerful position in the mid-east, overthrow Saddam and replace him with someone who will follow America's orders.
Power, oil and protection of Israel are the reasons for this unjust invasion. Never in our history have so many people all over the world opposed a war.

I agree.
However no demecrat is denying that freeing these people was the right thing to do becouse it was.
Although freeing them is not the reason why we went to war. That is just an added bonus/cover up.
We are apointing the electives that will run Iraq. The people we have chosen dont even live in Iraq.
We basically want to control the mid east.

I think I would agree.
Although conquering any nation to gain power and money is against everything the United States stands for.
I do think its about time they were straightened out.
For the past 3 years our lives have been tottally consumed with Arab issues.
Im real sick of hearing about Alah!
What I dont understand is why Isreal doesnt take care of them by themselves. Their the ones being attacked all the time.
If Isreal wanted to they could destroy them.
Isreal is a VERY powerful country.
