Colin,I wont be.. blackmailed.. by a petard,I will not change any beliefs or politics, because you can make nasty comments on your site about the people who post here that you dont agree with,That shows immaturity on your part not being able to handle a debate, and resort to the most childish behavior.
You are one screwed up cracker...

helen's quote:
"ferncrestmotel
I won't tackle your analogies today. Last time I did that, you told me to keep my thoughts to myself.
So, I will.
Helen"
Actually, I told you to keep your ADVICE to yourself, helen. Your thoughts are always interesting, but your advice about how I choose to express myself would only be helpful if it were insightful and/or correct.

Helen, you've been here for a year. You obviously have a strong personality. When you're not attacking someone, or going off on America, your posts are even enjoyable. But you don't take responsibility for your words. You are a follower. IMO that's unfortunate, because you miss much of the credit you deserve.
I enjoy diversity of opinion. For others, it's about self-gratification (ego). As Shakespeare said, "the play's the thing."
I've been here for three years. There's some truth in what you say. A leader, like krs could whip this board into shape within a week. I'm just an exceedingly intelligent cheerleader without a team.
LOL!!!
You probably forgot that I was here as Hjw before I took a short vacation because of my 'strong personality' and returned as Helenjw.

That's kinda far-fetched, don't you think colin? Nobody looks down on anyone here... who are you referring to? And who are you talking about that's gone?

Does that same statement hold true to posting (this is a site, and 'public') such as Bushs Resume? And all the Bush bashing sites that are constantly posted here?
On a lot of places the lefties link to, they are in disagreement with the right. No?
Then wouldn't those places be resorting to 'childish behavior and immaturity?'

Of course I would be guilty, when I disagree with you here, on this board.
You stated it was immature and childish behavior what he put on his board.
There are all kinds of links to sites (boards, webpages ) devoted entirely to bashing Bush, putting down Republicans, Conservatives et al. You don't see this as the same 'behavior'?

I do not understand 'my nose up your arse' but no, my name wasn't there.... NIETHER WAS YOURS OR HELENS, unless you are really junquemama, and she is Helenjw and krafdinner et al are all the REAL names of people on the list. Except of course, I'm sure Hussien and Bin Laden are real.

The problem isn't with Colin's list, it's being called anti-American and being compared to Saddam and Osama because you have a different opinion about how Bush runs the government. Nobody hates Bush as a person, it's just some of his decisions seem detrimental to the progress of society (my opinion only). What's wrong with expressing those views?
posted on May 1, 2003 02:56:50 PM new
Ok apologies to all liberals on the board, esp. to junquemama, since that is her real name, pertaining to her business I mean.
I don't need to reread the thread Helen, thank you anyway. Junquemama was questioning after the fact; after Colin had removed the names.
kraftdinner: Nobody hates Bush as a person
probably not.... wondered that often, wondered if Bush, or Bush and Laura came to Helens house, if she would invite him in for coffee, or close the door on him?
it's just some of his decisions seem detrimental to the progress of society (my opinion only).
I don't understand how its detrimental to society. Which society? The United States society or the Canadian society, or global society?

I've never closed the door on anybody...not even my mother in law! LOL! Good Lord, NearTheSea.

Its a whacko question?
You've said you don't like Bush, why would that be a 'whacko' question? I can understand not shutting the door on your MIL (most would be tempted ) she is a relation, but Bush is not. So, you invite people you have a deep resent/hate/dislike into your home?

That wasn't your question, NearTheSea. You said they came to my house uninvited. Then you asked me if I would open the door and treat them with human cordiality.

to be technical, No, I didn't say uninvited, I said wondered if Bush, or Bush and Laura came to Helens house, if she would invite him in for coffee, or close the door on him?

Maybe to clarify, If I opened the door and Laura and Bush were there, I would invite them in and serve them whatever refreshment that they might desire. I would put my political feelings on hold, believe it or not and enjoy the visit.

Gee Near, did you think because Helen and Bush differ in their political views that she would punch them in the faces or something?
posted on May 1, 2003 05:14:54 PM new
Did all that sound like an interogation to you? LOL.... sorry if it did..
Well, if President Bush came to my house, I sure would try to have a political discussion! I think, (but I don't know this, I haven't met the man) that he would be a personable person. I think I would like Mrs. Bush very much. She is a first class First Lady.
And to be perfectly frank, I would do the same with Clinton. Though I don't think Hillary as a very personable person (again, I have not met the lady) just my own thoughts.
Now wasn't that fun?
(You'd hide the pretzels right? )

The A-list was a lesson in the futility so many of you seem to be under.
I don't much care of your political posing. Makes no difference to me one way or another.
It does bother me that some of you have so much hate and frustration built up towards the American way of life, President Bush and life in general.
Some of the more liberal offer good points to debate. Others just bash or offer hateful, degrading or anti American links.
If you real think my calling someone anti-American is wrong, maybe you should reread their posts. I know some of you that post this crap think you are being on the cutting edge of debatedom. You are not.
Just check the Tag lines of the last month or two's posts. How many start with titles that put America in a bad light?
The RT has become a more middle of the road board. I think that's a good thing.
While thinking of Presidents Bush's handling of the Afghanistan and Iraq situation I remembered this quote:
"Be not afraid of greatness: some men are born great, some achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon them."
William Shakespeare (1564 - 1616), 'Twelfth Night'
Amen,
Jesus Love you, I think your an .......!
One of my favorite slogans,
Reverend Colin
