Clarksville....

What do you mean was, he apparently still is.
He also is so hypocritical as to praise soldiers from one side of his mouth...and when they express their TRUE feelings, calls them whiny ass punks out of the other side. Which of course he, like Bush, does while safe and secure and unable to be reached.

But seriously, sadly it reminds me of the Vietnam era. America civilian patriots were gung-ho, John Wayne thinking, but when the servicemembers came back, the civilians didn't want to hear things like wanting to kill the coward leaders like the Battalion Commander and other ugly things about the war.

When civilians called the returning Vietnam vets, "Baby killers" they didn't understand what went on over there and didn't want to know the truth of Vietnam.
War is ugly, particularly if your butt is on the line and not in an ivory tower.

So the vets just didn't talk about it. And there are other reasons why the vets bottle up their experiences.

This also goes for other wars, too not just the Vietnam war.

BTW, actually I don't think ebayauctionguy was even born in 1970.

I turned 18 just as the "Vietnam Era" was ending and that is when I joined. I met alot of vets who were really messed up mentally but the Army would certify them as "functional" to avoid paying disability...

There was alot of things they didn't want to talk about....but if they ever did start talking about it, RUN! It would give you nightmares for weeks... Those pseudo-horror/war glory movies never even got close to the horrors they would describe while in a drunken stupor.....

Must be nice to post on a computer message board that the United States has no right to get fed up with the sniping and BS that those soldiers are putting up with.... Soldiers that VOLUNTEERED btw...

Goading is exactly what those scumbags need, that way they will end up making a mistake and/or letting the light of day hit upon them, just before one of our brave lads or lasses puts a bullet through their worthless head....

AIN'T LIFE GRAND...

ebayauctionguy.
Have you EVER attempted to analyse the actions of the extreme right's leadership.
Americans are hurting but you don’t seem to care or are to stupid to see it.

You are about as much a patriot as Bush.
Whose side are you guys really on?
"Bring it on"
"Bring it on"
"Bring it on"
"Bring it on"

Oh! for another Sept 11th, think of what it will do for his ratings.

As the ‘Letter From America’ on the BBC site points out: What is the most important thing on Bush’s agenda?
“He's off around the country day after day presiding over fundraising luncheons, dinners, rallies. Fundraising for what? For whom?
Fundraising for George W Bush, to help him fulfil his ambition to raise $200,000,000 in support of his candidacy in November 2004. “
