Many of you complain about Helen complaining about Bush all the time, so, if he gets elected again, you will have another 4 years of listening to Helen. For that reason alone, wouldn't that make you want to vote Democrat?

No problem for me. Her side [ultra, ultra, ultra-liberal socialist - you get the picture ], won't be happy until hell freezes over, and I don't expect that to happen anytime soon.

So no....when this President is re-elected she'll most likely have a nervous breakdown and need to be committed.

I'll return that favor one day.

I'm working on a new computer program so bash away. I'm used to it. I've installed a firewall that's so powerful I can't connect. Hahaha!

LOL, kraftdinner. Now that you're incognito what should we call you? I suppose bettycrocker is out? Just jokin', ya know! so, if he gets elected again. . . Only in the right winger's fantastical (or is that fanatical?) dreams.

Edited to add: It's off topic, but I'm too lazy to start a new one. Remember the topic I started about the City of Lakewood taking homes by emminent domain to build a high-end shopping plaza? Well, it went to a vote yesterday and lost by 39 votes (of course, there will be a recount as demanded by the other side - the 20 somethings who have never owned a home in their lives). Not only that, but the mayor who instigated it is out. She sealed her own fate I guess. People's homes are once again safe and a clear message has been sent to other cities in the area contemplating the same thing. The funniest thing of all is that by her standards of "blyte" she could have included her own home and most of city council's in that category.

About the program that I've been working on....

I read about it today in the Washington Post. It's a program called Anonymizer. I went to their site and when I checked my privacy (upper right on page) I was amazed that they knew my ISP, AND ....the last message that I had posted at Vendio which happened to be addressed to tomyou. To counter tomyou's harrasssing messages I had written a comment to him which, when taken out of context, sounded like a love note. And lo and behold, there it was on the anonymizer page!!! Hahaha!

Well, I was astounded to say the least.

BTW...I'm not a Socialist as someone said in this thread.

No, I don't use the ignore button.

It was simply a request.

This is what really happened...linda

Bear said at the beginning of a thread to EVERYONE....

If you haven't had the honor of serving as a member of the U.S military, don't bother posting smart A$$ responses.

My answer which was not smart ass...

I live just a few miles from the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The worst problem related to Isabel was loss of electricity along with wind and rain.

The military assigned to guard the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier were relatively safe when compared to the dangers being faced by their members in Baghdad. Wind, rain and electricity outage are trivial concerns in comparison to the danger of war in Iraq. I am sure that the guards would be embarrassed by this writer's tribute to their courage under bad weather conditions.

Helen

Bear had more obnoxious remarks so I responded...

Let me tell you something, Bear. You cannot tell me where to post or what to post. The fact that you cannot comprehend the meaning of my comment is unfortunate but not my problem.

I am probably more supportive of the military than you and your neocon pals are. Those who want to put the military in unnecessary danger in order to advance political agendas cannot be seen as supportive of the troops. They can only be seen as users of the troops.

Try reading my comment and you will see that I said nothing derogatory about the troops. My criticism was focused on the degree of exaggeration used by the writer to promote a feature or personal interest type article.

Chill dude.

Helen
............................................................

That puts a different light on your explanation, linda.
My request to you was decent and delivered without obscene or nasty comments. It was simply a request...not an order.

Helen

Oh...this is getting better and better. LOL What in the world would lead to be under the impression I was referring to that thread? Pulling up statements from one thread. LOL

Helen, you just can't see your own actions it appears.

I was referring to the *MANY* times when someone has made comments to you that it would be nice to stay on topic, not bring Bush [or politics] into every thread....and you always answer them the same way.. "I will post when and where I want to".... like some stubborn child.

And if you think others haven't read your posts where you've said that....you're only fooling yourself.

LOOK IN THE MIRROR, helen. You come across so politely here, but much different when others make the same request of you.

And to be quite honest, I thought I'd shown great restraint not saying I see your political views as being further left than a socialist.

Yes, at least you admit it. LOL We all have the right to say what we want, when we want. If I say something Helen doesn't like....she's just going to have to get use to it...or put me on ignore...or debate/argue with me about it.
