Over the past few years, I've had dreams about the old place I used to live at. These dreams aren't weird or chaotic but very realistic - even time is realistic. In these dreams, I've been able to go into both apartments (a 2 story house w/2 apt's.) and watch what's going on and listen in on conversations. For about 6 months, the conversations were about the tennants having to move because a dentist bought the house to convert to offices. On a few occasions, I tried to talk to these people but they couldn't see me. In my dreams, I saw them pack, move out and cry. I also saw the whole construction of the dentist's office on the main level and 'met' the new owners (they couldn't see me).

A couple of months ago, I had to take my car to Subaru, which is just down the street from my old apartment, which I haven't driven by in 10 or so years. I slowed down to see the old place and it had been converted to a dentists office exactly the way it was in my dreams. I haven't told anyone for fear of being put in a padded cell.

It all sound fun but it scared me to death! Do you think I need a shrink?

Do you think I need a shrink?

No, far from it. This is far more common in people then what you might think. I have had dreams like that and you are right in that it can scare the daylights out of you.

There are a lot of good books out there on this very subject.

That's pretty wierd, but not shrink-worthy.

But if you have any dreams about winning lotto numbers, let me know!

No, Some claim that dreams are a struggle in the subconscious to resolve something that has happened in your conscious state. Since you mention people crying, I would venture to say that you had some difficulty in the move away from that place where you once resided. I once had dreams that alarmed me too, with a reoccurring theme, that my wife was going to leave me. However, the nightmare of her returning was much worse!

Trai, was I really there? How could something like this be possible?

I'm a REAL sceptic on these kinds of subjects and have always poo-poo'd anyone that came up with such stories, especially talking to dead people. This has made me very curious about dreams, and I apologize to anyone I laughed at.

Maybe if you would share, we might be able to figure that dream out.

That would get pretty expensive for me Helen. I've been sending Linda "samples" of my pot for years now... I guess she forgot.

I think the dentists in your dream represent right winger conservatives.

Pay attention to your dreams Kraft, they're important. Lots of people have the same knack you do, but they deny it to the point that it goes away. Do some reading, but don't be scared about it.Trying to ignore it might make you crazy....

KD - I didn't mean in general....I meant lately. Because if so, it is a mind altering drug and maybe could have started these dreams, IF you're smoking more than you normally do. If you haven't been then this could not be the cause of your dreams.

I asked because that's exactly what a husband of my friend started doing when he was smokin' just a little too much. Have weird dreams.

Should have been clearer.

Did I "CALL YOUR NAME" helen? Don't believe I did. Just can't live up to your own promises can you?

I asked KD a legitimate question. She's made no bones about the fact she smokes pot. And that she supports it's legalization. When she answered I explained. No ASSumptions made here at all. Pot IS a mind altering drug.

You more than likely have had tooth trouble lately.
And your subconscious has been helping you find a dentist that could/would make you feel at home!

You are way out of line, Linda. Stop, take a deep breath and start over.

I don't wait for you to call my name to comment. I simply made it clear to you that *I* will choose when to reply to your innane comments. In other words, dumb questions will go unanswered.

At first, I thought you were just joking but your second reply indicates that you are serious. The inference that Kraftdinner has been smoking too much pot is breathtakingly rude and preposterous. You don't know if she has smoked *any* pot.

Linda beat me to my question, Kraft has come on here in support of legalization because she smokes pot...

It maybe the reason she had that dream or dreams...

Don't you have some anti-american rally to go to helen...

I've had lots of vivid and recurring dreams all of my life. I don't smoke pot and I don't think people need to see a shrink if they have strange dreams.

I have a 1937 dream book and it says Dentist -- A dream of illness.

Buildings in dreams make me think that it's about the inner person and maybe the renovation in Kraft's dream means that she is rebuilding her thoughts on issues, taking care of her health, etc. and starting something new.

I agree with profe51, don't let it scare you Kraft. I would just heed it as a "sign" and I've always thought it was a good thing if people dream a lot.

Also be glad that no one told you it was penis envy like they told me a couple of years ago when I started a dream discussion here.

It's funny how you would think pot is involved because the dream is weird.

Linda, I've had this ongoing dream for years. It all started when my one cat, Boots died about 9 years ago. I was grief stricken. One night I dreamed that the next door neighbour, at the old apartment, told be she saw Boots in the backyard. From then on, I would dream about going over there to visit Boots. Slowly, my dreams started evolving into being more aware of what was going on with the new tenants and the house itself.

I have those normal, chaotic dreams too, but these ones are different and as clear as my real life.

Honestly, if I drove by and the house was the same as it was, I would've thought my dreams were about how much I missed the place and my cats. It's the fact it was converted to a dentist's office that made me turn white.

Since my drive by, I've only had 2 dreams, so they might be going away. (??)

It's just one of those weird events, that happened to a cemented skeptic - makes me wonder if this is some kind of sense we all have, like Prof mentioned.

KD has stated she smokes pot. So have many others. If you don't think she does, then maybe you could ask her instead of implying I don't know when I do know.

The inference that Kraftdinner has been smoking too much pot is breathtakingly rude and preposterous.

No it's not. It could very well be the reason for these dreams. So could her getting a hold of bad 'batch' of pot.

You helen are the one who is continually rude, you just don't see it in yourself. My question was ADDRESSED to KD....NOT YOU.

That was going to be my next question....is there anyway for you to actually go there? Glad to see you have....and yes, maybe that's why they're going away.

Dreams are interesting to discuss. Years of studies, many different theories about what they mean, etc. and still we're only guessing.

You're right, Linda. I've been smoking the same pot from a bad batch I got 9 years ago. Because it's bad, I've never caught on.

Thank-you, Helen.

Twelve, if I had that "dream of dreams", you'd be in it.

It was a 2-story house, Kiara, so there could be some unconscious penis envy there.

Ooops... I meant subconscious.

some believe the spirit does not rest, while the physical body rest ,the spirit leaves the body to travel donned in astral body.
off hand i cant recall the name of the person who does a lot of that,he was known to predict we would find atlantis .
the ancient egyptian said a person has 7 components-the physical body,ba,ka,ankh, shadow, name and one i cant recall.
the ba is also referred to as the desire, whatever you desire bad enough, the ba will leave the body and go and see/do what it desires.
after a person's death, the ka hovers close to the tomb, while the ba goes to another world, but it will come back once in a while and check up on the decayed physical body, thats why the egyptian comes up with the mummy as the ba is having problem recognising the body.
while a person is alive and functioning,it is also possible to separate the spirit from the body ,the psychologist called the entire voodoo rites the dissociation of the conscience, meaning the conscience has been driven out of the body and the unconscious takes over.
there are also other ways to force your spirit out of your body, the tibetan monks practiced to do so,the occultists also practice to do so.some folks claim it is very easy to slip out of their body while most have to practice for years.
you can read about them in occult or new age books.

Atlantis is discussed here.

http://www.astraldelta.com/Cayce.html

Cayce always said that is likely, rather than unlikely, that we have known in past lives most of the people with whom we associate today.

Often this 'recognition' occurs without the individuals concerned realising that the initial contact has been made! An energy - or vibration (almost like a magnetic attraction) draws these old Atlantean souls towards each other. Only later does the true reason for this 'attraction' - and empathy - become apparent.
