So why do you keep trying? How about another vacation? You could visit the White House and inhale the polluted air that your president has contributed to our nation's capitol.

Less than half Linda.
Would serve you well to pay attention to how more than half feel about things. You know ~ the majority.

::both of those countries are opening up and even Norht Korea is still wanting talks... ::
Is this revisionist history? Now NK wants to talk to us because they are scared of us? Is your memory so short that you don't remember that they ALWAYS wanted to talk to us. That they came out and said they wanted to sit down and talk, they wanted us to do what we had promised to do and if we didn't hold up on our end of the bargan they were ditching theirs as well? there was a bi thread about this at the time. We told them to go bugger off.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

I think Bush wants them to push ahead with their nuclear program and after they have enough excuse to take care of it Halliburton will get a contract to paint lines on the worlds biggest parking lot.

LOL, Gravid! Dammit, you make me smile, sir!
To some others, let me state that North Korea has never "talked" in anything less than threats. North Korea (which devotes 90% of its resources to military build-up and has an appalling poverty rate amongst its people) has never said anything more than "Give us some aid or we'll bomb South Korea!" And we've always gone along, to spare our military and business interests in South Korea.
There's a new wind blowing, though; one which at any moment might whisper that "terrorists" within the North Korean regime must go. Terrorists who must be anihilated. In short, yet another regime change.
I know all the Bushies here think that nothing greater could happen. The fact is, though, that no culture will happily bend itself to a foreign will, and those upon whom we wreak devastation (in the name of Democracy -- what a joke! ) will rise up and become enemies the likes of which neither we, nor the CIA, ever dreamed.
Come to think of it, that's what happened on September 11, 2001; we expected bombs to be smuggled on planes, but we never dreamed that the planes themselves would become the bombs. Oops! Intelligence failure!
Get ready for many more intelligence failures as your lives progress; things are going to get so much worse...

Fenix, we told them to "bugger off" because they were not willing to talk one on one....
I supported that... we the US don't need and damned intermediary if we choose not to have one.
They now are seeing that we will not fool around when it really comes down to it and the consequences could be dire for their country.
Linda, you should try the ignore button, those POS anti-americans and POS foreigners... makes these boards so much more enjoyable not to have to wade through their inane diatribes...
They have proven time and again they don't know the difference between sh*t and apple butter and when they do they still want to eat the sh*t.... waste of breath on these...
AIN'T LIFE GRAND...

Thanks twelve....but honestly it doesn't bother me. I've enjoyed many a laugh from some of the statements. As I said I'm glad there are a few of us here who offer the 'other side' of the views. What they don't appear to understand is that some of their statements/opinions/beliefs are as foreign to me as mine appear to be to them. They're always screaming diversity....but don't really show much tolerance for diversity of opinion. LOL
Does them good to understand and hear another point of view. Never have expected them to agree.
Life would be soooo boring if we all thought alike.
