ELECTION 2004
Kerry's website riddled with obscenities
Official online page for Democrat loaded with F-word, S-word Posted: March 8, 2004
1:00 a.m. Eastern
As public obscenity becomes a heated issue in the wake of this year's Super Bowl breast exposure, the leading Democrat in the race for the White House has obscenities laced throughout his official website.
According to the Drudge Report, Kerry's homepage of JohnKerry.com is filled with expletives, "setting the standard for a new wave of 21st Century campaigning."
Drudge typed in the F-word and the S-word into the search box on Kerry's site to yield some of the following results:
* "Bush f----- up Afghanistan ...
* Did I expect George Bush to f--- it up as badly as he did ...
* cutting all your f---ing legs off at the knees...
* Where the f--- is he?...
* scare the living s--- out of me...
* He has a pig-in-s--- grin on his face, he wanted to get into the s--- ...
* doesn't play s--- in my book ..."
Other words some might find objectionable include "G--damn," "Christ," and "piss."
A campaign source told Drudge the Kerry campaign site contains published material, and that the Massachusetts senator was not aware the expletives were posted on his own server.
"I think you'll see the offensive words removed," the source told Drudge.
Similar foul language was not found on the official site to re-elect President Bush.
The Democrats ran on 'Honesty' and I told 'em at the time they would never get anywhere. It was too radical for politics. The Republicans ran on 'Common Sense' and the returns showed that there were 8 million more people in the United States who had 'Common Sense' enough not to believe that there was 'Honesty' in politics." --Will Rogers

Since when did you of all people become a puritan?
~~~ • ~~~ • ~~~ • ~~~ • ~~~
If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?
Since when did you of all people become a puritan?
Me a puritan, nope, it just shows Kerry limited vocabulary. Demo's are known for that, don't you know.
If you go and do the above search yourself, you will find that the words in question are to be found in articles from publications like Rolling Stone, Men's Journal and others. They are linked to on the site, but they are not Kerry's words. To try and say they are is nothing but a cheap shot. Nice try.
profe - Sure looks like they are to me.
I went directly to Kerry's website, typed in F*** in the search mode and there were four choices. The first one I click on was an intervew Kerry gave to Rolling Stones Magazine....and it was of a Kerry interview.
Yes, it appeared to me those were Kerry's own words.
Linda, it WAS a Rolling Stone interview afterall!
from the link above
Did you feel you were blindsided by Dean's success?
Well, not blindsided. I mean, when I voted for the war, I voted for what I thought was best for the country. Did I expect Howard Dean to go off to the left and say, "I'm against everything"? Sure. Did I expect George Bush to f*ck it up as badly as he did? I don't think anybody did.
The * in that is mine.
On rereading your link, I do see that Kerry swore in the interview. It doesn't bother me any more than Bush's swearing bothers me. I think the situation is important. In Bush's case, he made a remark he thought was private...oops!..big deal. In Kerry's case, it's a conversation with a Rolling Stone reporter. I could be wrong, but I doubt Rolling Stone readers would be offended. I would question the smarts of putting the article on an official campaign website though...
If that bothers you don't listen to the converstion regarding Bush in my house.
Friends don't let friends vote Republican!
profe - I personally don't cuss and I'm aware it's accepted today. I made no judgement on whether it is or isn't acceptable.
Using foul language is not the reason I responded. But rather because you had make the point, questioned or implied, that those weren't Kerry's own words on bears first post, and they are. That's all.
Are you really so dumb that you believe that the site posted by Bear was really associated with Kerry? Or do you just not have enough integrity to care?
I did AS I MENTIONED ABOVE, go directly to Kerry's own website. His own words are there.
--------------
If one types in the word #*!@, it's well known only @#($*%&@ will come up. And if I wanted to have cuss words in my posts I'd do something like this: bit$h....so the filter wouldn't catch it.
Now go look in your own mirror again.
Because you're the one who was suspended for call someone an inappropriate name, not me.
Re-elect President Bush!!
profe, thats what I think. I would question putting that article on his website. I don't care if it was for the Rolling Stone or Good Housekeeping,it wasn't real bright to keep that article/interview on his site. (doesn't matter what age or mentality read the RS, the article itself was put on johnkerry.com site, for all his supporters to read)
If you want to know who said what, nearthesea, read the thread...follow the links. Try to find the information that Bear claims his link provides. I see nothing...only a template that is copied from the real Kelly page.
Linda brought up my suspension a few years ago again with false information. Ask her why she continues to do that. I don't know.
Looks to me the link I posted http://search.atomz.com/search/?sp-a=sp1001847f&sp-f=ISO-8859-1&sp-q=#*!@+#*!@
is still working & if you click on
:: John Kerry for President - John Kerry's Desperate Hours
:: John Kerry for President - John Kerry ready for his close-up ::
:: John Kerry for President - A Lighter Side of John Kerry :
or
:: John Kerry for President - Golden Boy :: ••
and so forth
It opens a page in whick Kerry is quoted. His own staffers added those links.
If you go directly to his site & manually type those words into the search box, the same results STILL are present.
Those are all Kerrys quoted interviews.
same one you posted. Scroll down his website to Search (its left of an article Protecting the Homeland) and type in f*ck and you'll see where Bear found this. The site uses atomz.com search function.
Although I don't doubt that most men use such words in private conversation, I don't believe that a presidential candidate or his staff with his best interest in mind would publish a website including such conversation.
Your link is obviously bogus and doesn't lead to anything but a bogus template copied from Kerry's real web site. Why do you believe the words were all removed?
Can't you simply look at the URL and see that it is bogus.
The search leads to other bogus info with links that do not work. It's clear that there is no credibility to your post...although you may have believed it when it was first posted. I understand that.
Some of them are linda, and I conceed that, as I stated above. I also stand by what I initially said, that attempting to make it sound like those are all Kerry's words, as bear's post does, is a cheap shot. A more detailed search of Kerry's actual site will show you that most of the "obscenities" alluded to in Bear's post are the words of others.
Bear's so-called Kerry page is, as described by others here, BOGUS. Here's a screen shot of what turns up:
profe - Perhaps you might want to review this google search I did for you. There you will find hundreds of different sites that speak to the issue of:
The obscentites that John Kerry has used while speaking, being interviewed, etc.
It is not just John Kerry's own website where they are mentiond.
And to be clearer, I was answering this question you posed to bear: Bear, are you asserting that the alleged obscenities on Kerry's site are his words?
I said they were. Your proof is in any of the above google links.
If all those don't convince you....nothing's going to.
