OK. Dead is dead. If it is OK for pictures of one kind of death to be shown, it is OK for other types of death to appear, too.

Personally, none of the pictures bothered me, though skylite's glee does (which is why I stated that there's something wrong with him on the "fast food" thread).

For the sake of those who are squeamish it would be nice if anyone posting "gross" pictures put up a link to the image(s), along with a note of warning about the content.

Kraft, I have to smile at your ability to seperate issues with your own distinctive applied logic.

I think what Linda is trying to say is whether its dead pictures or in the process of getting killed or being dead, the readers [I]affectation[I/] is the same, depending on what you're sensitive to.

They both equally disturb me especially if you're forced to look at them without prior warning on just opening a thread. (But that is the OP's intention, isnt it?) I breeze right past most of skylites photo's (and bears) but occasionally have looked. Still, I dont think either should be censored.

Everything is so way out there on the internet, anyway. All this bustleing and ruffling seems kinda false for the people who read and post here. (Afterall, its not like were not on the internet that often and dont see it streaming by somewhere along the line anyway.) There's really no going back, imo. But I agree with Bunni. Probably would be 'nicer' to provide a link and give the reader a choice, but I doubt that is going to change for any number of reasons.

Nero, I agree and disagree. Pictures of war are always gruesome and I agree that the pictures Skylite has posted and this set of pictures are equally gruesome. What I don't agree with, and I don't know how to say it any differently than I have, is that I see a difference in pictures of dead bodies and pictures of a person being killed. Because of that trait, I feel it was irresponsible. If you or others don't agree, I can understand that also.

I object to censorship, but Vendio can do whatever they want to. Anyone who is under the impression that this is a public forum, and not subject to the whims of the owners of this site is being foolish. It's a private business. If Vendio decided they only liked twelve's, bear's and linda's posts and wouldn't allow helen's, skylite's, KD's or mine, that would be their perogative and I'd support it. I wouldn't necessarily like it, but I'd support it and go elsewhere if necessary.Personally, posting that link without a warning was at least bad manners, and at worst a very nasty trick. I'm glad it's gone.
