Now we pick on the children of presidential candidates. Let's see, where shall we begin with Bush's children? Anyone want to start?

Cheryl - She's not a child, first of all....and she's the one showing off her body to the world. Her choice. You think the world's ignoring it?

Re-elect President Bush!!

edited to add:

Vanessa and her 30-year-old sister - an aspiring filmmaker who, coincidentally, is also named Alexandra.

I'd prefer revealing dresses to several counts of underage drinking, and lying to get false ID.

Oh, and yes, Chelsea Clinton was seen drinking,too...but she was an adult at the time.

She is 30 years old, but she is wearing, uh, um, something under the dress

I was going to link the picture, but thought better if those sites had too much traffic, it might stop it here LOL!

Kerry's Daughter Takes Vietnam War Film to Cannes

Alexandra Kerry, a 30-year-old filmmaker, showed The Last Full Measure today in short-movie showcase at the festival.

The 15-minute film is a tender portrait of a father and his doting nine-year-old daughter, who is struggling to accept that Vietnam has changed her family.

Beyond some aspects of the father-daughter relationship, there is nothing autobiographical about the movie, said Kerry, whose father is a decorated Vietnam veteran.

“I wasn’t born when my father came back from Vietnam,” she told reporters after a screening. “The characters are fictional, completely.”

The movie shows a man ravaged by war – he sleeps a lot, he needs a shave and his hands shake so badly that he spills wine down the front of his shirt.

Despite his problems, he’s affectionate with his daughter. She playfully plucks a hair out of his chest, and she helps him shave when his hands shake too badly to hold the razor.

Though the movie is set in the Vietnam War era, Kerry said she wanted it to seem timeless.

The filmmaker is one of Senator Kerry’s daughters from his marriage with Julia Thorne. A younger daughter, Vanessa, is a medical student who took time off from Harvard to work on the campaign. After their parents’ marriage fell apart in 1982, the girls lived primarily with their mother.

Alexandra Kerry studied anthropology and television at Brown University before attending the American Film Institute. She is also a film and stage actress and had a small role as a bartender in Spartan, the David Mamet thriller released this spring.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

She won't be the only one to wear a revealing dress at Cannes. What I find amusing is that things like this tend to still shock a few people........ or that they focus more on the dress than the film.

kiara, it must have been something to make headlines all around. I'm not shocked, I think any woman who wears dresses like that is inappropriate, its like, WHY even wear a dress at all.....did you see it? LOL!

When attending the Cannes Film Festival, dress like the French...I would say. France is not as puritan minded as the United States.

Nothing compared to the Bush daughters drinking and let's not forget Bush's wife running a stop sign and killing someone - some say there was a cover-up of her being drunk too.

Anyway Kerry's daughter looks great and looks sober, not to mention she has the intellectual ability to make a film.

Quote from the article:

Film director Alexandra, 30, showed at least two reasons why Americans should vote her dad into the White House in November.

LOL, yeah, like most every female on this earth

So when in Rome do like the Romans

Dang, it was my own opinion. If I were 30 years old again, I wouldn't do it, and that is me. Even if I had thee most perfect body. I wouldn't go topless either

Better not come to Ontario where women are allowed to go topless, anywhere, anytime. We don't consider breasts to be obscene - male or female.

I don't think I said it was 'obscene' Kraft. And so I can't go to Ontario, because women (or men) can go topless anytime, anyplace?

In restaraunts do they have the No Shoes, No Shirts, No Service type signs or you can go topless in those places also. wow I did not know that. And you can go topless to your workplace?

There is a lot I do not know about Canada. I do know there are nude beaches all over this planet, including the U.S., but I didn't know how totally open Canada is!

You learn something new everyday!

Women are allowed to go topless anywhere where a man can go topless. This all came about because there were restrictions at the beach for women but not men. Nobody does it except on the beach, that I've ever seen.

Women go topless on boats cruising the Chesapeake Bay, not too far from the Annapolis Naval Accademy.

I'm sure women go topless here out in the Puget Sound on boats, a little bit too chilly here on the Sound most of the time for that, but I'm sure it happens.

I'm just amazed I suppose that women can go topless anywhere, anytime in Canada. You do have lenient (sp?) laws there

No, just fair laws Near.

Ok, my mistake, fair laws.

You have me curious now, as to the laws here are on it. And WHY. Usually they give some reason for specific laws. I'll have to look it up.

Again, I never said it was obscene, just IMO inappropriate at a social outing or other places. I definitly can understand at the beach or out boating though. And for younger people, not for me , who is pushing 50. I surely wouldn't want to embarass my adult children!

LOL replay!

At least I *think* I know how to dress 'my age' and not wear hip huggers, short short shirts, the kind of thing my girls, who are in their 20's wear! And believe me, I've seen 'older' women wear this stuff, and.... well.... no comment! LOL!

BUT when we went to 'Glamour Shots' AGAIN, they insisted on the hair done, the ton of makeup, (all of which I never do myself) and yeah, one pic was showing a little cleavage, A LITTLE (thats cuz thats all there is LOL!!)

You mean a Roll Call? The last one was hilarious! I have your picture saved from the last time. You're with 2 guys and I think you're drinking a beer. Not quite the hag you proclaim, Near.

Problem with me is that I'm TOO good looking. A picture would only prove my point leaving you all in awe. I wouldn't want to be the one responsible for the onslaught of sudden insecurities and feelings of worthlessness. You understand, don't you Near?
