Since I have you here...[I believe]....was glad to hear you had a successful 'hunt' this past week and found 'treasures' you like. The threads I've most enjoyed in the EO have always been the ones where sellers post their wonderful 'finds'. It's one thing so many of us here do have in common.

Linda_K, here again is what the Marine and College guy think about your post and you.
They both thought your post was very funny. One said "WOW that woman must be wacked out, where is she coming from."
Don't forget the Marine said that most of the American troops were all for Geo Bush in the beginning but now that they know Bush lied to them most of the troops are against him now. The Marine also said that at any time in the next 3 years he could be called up to active duty again. He said he would go not because he wanted to but because of an oath he took and duty to his country. In my book this young man is a HERO.
In my opinion its old bags of wind like you that really disrespect our troops. All that people like you and other posters like you really seem worry about is their GOD LIKE ALL IMPORTANT MONEY.
In just a few months the working class and middle class people of this country will elect new leader in John Kerry. Will Kerry be a great leader, I wish I knew. I do believe that JOHN KERRY SURE AS HELL WON'T BE AS BAD A LEADER AS BUSH HAS BEEN.
GIVE AMERICA A NEW START BY OUTSOURCING THE BUSH GOVERNMENT

linda, sorry I deserted the board to do some homework for a bit. (on top of all this, taking internet courses. But do have to come here for some fun diversion!) Yes, thanks for mentioning the EO. I treasure that board for info and wonderfully wackie stuff posted too ... and yeah, I had a blast at that sale this weekend!! I would assume this is how people get to Vendio in the first place - that common interest? How the heck did this become the premier political posting site anyway? lol

bigpeepa, i dont think thats true about linda. from what i've read I think she does care about the troops and probably has more good will about them than most casual americans. one thing i think you forget big peepa, and libra too, its really not so much the little 10 and 20 dollar donations that actually afford things to get done in this country under the auspices of charity. It is the rich and hollywood that donate a portion of those moneies that keep alot of these places going. grants, funding that other people cannot make. jmo

Not quite the way it is now.
I originally came here from a disagreement that was taking place between ebay sellers and ebay on the ebay board. Ebay was not allowing continued discussion of anything negative about their site....so those sellers came here...to vent...to form a group to approach their grievances against ebay as a united front. God...those were the days - when ebay still was full of your mom and pop sellers...hadn't gone public yet [NYSE].
How it got to be this way I'll never know. We had 'fluff' threads....pondering life's issues threads...friendly chats...and many did make friends here. Games were played by some groups of posters and some hurtful things did happen - auction interferance etc. Some lost their posting privileges for a short period...some were given a permanent 'vacation' and couldn't come back.
But it seemed the majority who were left after credit card #s were a requirement to post...wanted to discuss politics and the 'fluff' threads became the exception, rather than the rule. People started ridiculing each other more and more. In the political threads we did have there were too many who didn't have the ability to communicate with those who held opposing views. They too...just left.
I'm sure others see things differently than I have on how and why this changed , but that's my version. And as they say....I'm stickin' to it.
