Helen

You should know me better by now. I was being sarcastic! LOL! My legs are absolutely killing me! Most of the trip was uphill. My sinuses threw a fit because we were in the woods on a very humid day! My brain was turned to mush by the heat. Heck, the way my daughter tells it - I am a teenager. She hates the way I dress and says I need to act older. Don't think so. I'm having far too much fun.

Linda

Of course he read it. The facts leading up to the signing of it were lies. . .bold faced lies. . . Had he or most anyone else known they were lies (lies, lies, lies) it wouldn't have been enacted. I'll bet you'd believe just about anything Bush told you. If he told you the sky was falling tomorrow, you'd play Chicken Little and shout it to the world.

Linda

Then we all made the same mistake. Maybe all of our brains are mush today. However, I'm sure at least Kerry read it.

Of course he read it.

Cheryl, not being insulting here....but really....you have absolutely NO way of knowing if he did or not.

The facts leading up to the signing of it were lies. . .bold faced lies

Not even the 9-11 commission report agrees with that statement. Matter of fact I think they went out of their way to say it was a lack of intelligence NOT this President pushing lies....as the left continues to say.

. . . Had he or most anyone else known they were lies (lies, lies, lies) it wouldn't have been enacted.

They ALL....dems too....received the same information. It might have been an intelligence failure....not PROVEN yet...only suspected...but it wasn't a LIE.

I'll bet you'd believe just about anything Bush told you.

Bush doesn't speak to me....but yes, from what I've observed sine 9-11 and how the democratic party has responded/reacted you bet your house I support their administration's handling of all this. But don't blame Bush for my support....it's the very poor willingness of the democratic party to get a grip that has convinced me they can't be trusted to run this nation in these times.

Re-elect President Bush!!

If Bush keeps up with statements like this Moore will have enough material for a sequal:

The State of the Union speech given by George W. Bush Tuesday night was among the most menacing and belligerent in American history. The US president outlined a program of limitless and perpetual warfare, on every continent, and against any regime that stands in the way of the rapacious American ruling class.

Bush threatened to attack Iran, Iraq and North Korea—mentioning the three countries by name. Despite his apocalyptic warnings about “thousands of dangerous killers, schooled in the methods of murder, often supported by outlaw regimes,” these countries had nothing to do with the September 11 terrorist attacks, a fact acknowledged even by the US government.

Instead Bush outlined a new rationale for military action, claiming that Iran, Iraq and North Korea were seeking to develop chemical, biological and nuclear weapons. He declared, “By seeking weapons of mass destruction, these regimes pose a grave and growing danger.”

“States like these,” he said, “and their terrorist allies, constitute an axis of evil, arming to threaten the peace of the world.”

Let's have a BBQ, Texas style, ROAST BUSH

Yup, logansdad, this was predicted when the first rumblings about going to war with Iraq were heard....bush just wants war...PERIOD...he's stated that he wants to be known as the "Warrior President"...translated to OUR language that means "I don't care how many people die if I get more power and Haliburton makes more money."

As far as I, and a LOT of other people are concerned the "Axis of Evil" is Cheney , Rumsfeld, and Rove and the people behind them who may never be known.

These people don't want peace , they WANT war.
And they WILL do ANYTHING to ensure it happens.
Just wait until October!

terryann: I cant say I've ever seen one of his movies either. But I think I liked him better when he stuck to comedy instead of social commentary. But I'll see. Evenutally I should get to that movie.

So Bob, would I be correct that you are a true conservative? I see your beef with the unemployment on your tag line, and it makes me curious. Also, what makes you feel the movie was propaganda driven? I'm just curious what your points are regarding this considering MM used more video footage than narration in this documentary to make his point.

I had a delayed flight a few years ago at the Portland Airport, and ended up sitting at a bar drinking a few beers next to this great big burly bear of a guy from Montana. We ended up on politics, and I was quite intrigued to learn about true-conservatism. He said religion should stay out and felt the federal government should be small with the states having more power. He was not a fan of good old George W. because he felt this current administration were spendaholics who were giving handouts to Halliburton through the no-bid contracts among other pro-Bush corporations. Though he worked for a logging company, he also recognized the need for environmental regulation to minimize impact for our wild lands. He was also a hunter. He told me after our conversation that it was eye opening to meet a left leaning liberal who was fiscally conservative, but also recognized the need to dump corporate welfare, protect the environment, and most importantly, keep special interests out of government.

I think my point from all of this is that I don't believe the current administration are conservatives. They may be Republicans as a party affiliation, but they are ransacking our economy and lives of both American soldiers and innocent civilian Iraqi's to go after someone who shouldn't have been at the top of our priorities. Yes, Hussein needed to be removed, but Americans wanted and still want Osama, and we have a much larger threat in North Korea than what was in Iraq.
