so twelve what is the benefit to legalizing prostitution? Tax burden? Or the propagation of sex for hire? How do take the most intimate of of emotions and put money inbetween it? Is it, to you, just an act that fulfills a need and therefore can be bought and sold like everything else?
edited to add: that is not just a myth either. Maybe out west there are brothels but much of the country your prostitutes are so drug addicts. Get a grip, tweleve. Women dont like sex THAT much. They like it when they like the man.

Only women consider sex "emotional" Prostitues have figgured it out that for men it is purely physical and so have learned to make money off of it....
I also think it would lower rape just a little, as most rape is actually power... date rape is not... give the boys somewhere to go when she says "No", because in the Brothel they always say "Yes"
I am also not talking about legalizing street walkers either... this is just brothels.
It would be an Industry just like any other... taxes included...
oh Kraft, unlike Canada, some countries the women didn't come down to the ship to pick us up...

I don't think health professionals keeping an eye on brothels is all that awful. AIDS is continuing to spread at alarming rates and unless something is done to curb it, it will once again spiral out of control. It's probably hard to understand unless you've seen a person or two who dies from AIDS related diseases. STD's are also on the rise at alarming rates. With the known fact that our current antibiotics are becoming less and less effective, I would think health screening would be first and foremost on everyone's minds. If I were in that line of work, I personally would appreciate free health screenings. Heck, I'd like to have them for free now (only for different reasons).
I just don't see protecting the health of the population as a polical issue, I see it as a human and very necessary one. Diseases we haven't seen in years are now cropping up and if something isn't done somewhere, we'll be in for a great big surprise one day.
