It was made in rebuttal to crowfarm's comment made first to the effect of "If you knew anything about history, you'd know that LOTS of people knew it was a mistake and the atrocities committed there were only part of that mistake.
The rest of my comment that you so conveniently left out was "crowfarm: I probably know more about history than you could even imagine. I lived thru most of it in the 20th century starting with World War II. I know that a lot of people didn't agree with the Vietnam War but they didn't make a great effort to be one picked to go before a Congressional Committee to testify against his fellow soldiers and about things he did himself, (or says he did himself, he can't remember for sure). As I said before in another post, I am an Independent who was considering voting for Kerry, but he has completely turned me off with his "I am a hero" campaign. Who cares?? The American voters voted in a known draft dodger who put in writing his "loathing for the military", and defeated a known hero who lost the use of an arm in combat. So apparently they don't care a hoot about war records. Kerry picked the wrong fight. He made his own bed, so let him "lie" in it, and I use the term literally.
Puts a whole different light on it when you quote the whole thing along with Ms. Crowfarms comment made before mine doesn't it!

What an idiotic thing to say without any facts to back up his big fat flapping mouth.
Plus, he listens to La-La-Land-Libra....who hasn't got the point of any post so far and has her feelings hurt if you challenge her experise at bridge!

The facts I base that statement on are your posts. 9% paycut. BIG DEAL! I was making six figures and a company car when I was laid off in the 80's, and that wasn't on George W's watch. I started over with no salary and buying my own car. I made it, and everyone else could, if they would quit blaming it on the government, get off their butts and work at it. Don't whine about a 9% paycut. Everybody gets them and the ones who want to and work at it survive. As for Alzheimers, you're only as old as you feel and act. I feel like I'm 30. With the stress and bitterness in your life, you probably feel like 90. Right! And, again I base this on only your posts as I don't know you and don't want to know you.

You probably named that because you thought I didn't know how to play. Well I will tell you I am one of the better bridge players in the area. Maybe you should learn and then go play so you leave me alone.
