Hey Linda, how come you are not accusing your gay Republican of possibly giving AIDS to his straight wife. You were so quick to judge the NJ governor but I don't hear you saying anything like this since this guy is a Republican. How come you are not saying he lied to his wife about who he really is. Funny how you keep your mouth shut when the shoe is on the foot.

Oh right, in your eyes it is just an "allegation" at this point

logasndad and yeager you fail to see the real point of all this...

the people of the US do not like homosexuals... he know this and if proven he is one, well he went along with the majority, got elected and now had to resign over allegations...

If proven true, his life is ruined but the good news is that one less homosexual is not in congress... but I see it really pisses you both off that a man would vote the will of the people instead of being some self serving POS...

The people elected him and looks as if he did a good job with their wishes... he knows where homosexuality should be... in the closet.

Twelve, you are such a dreamer if you think that gay men and women are going to return to the closet.

So should your ignorance and bigotry be kept in the closet, under lock and key.

You also said the people the people of the US do not like homosexuals... What an empty headed statement that is. Do you ever have chance to watch TV when you are not preaching bigotry. If you do then you will know there are such very popular TV with gay themes and/or gay stars shows like........

Will and Grace

Queer Eye for the Straight Guy

The Ellen Show

The Rosie Mc Donald

It's All Relative

Boy Meets Boy

Of course you have the ability (I think) to understand these shows can't survive on the existence of the 2.5 percent gay population that you mother claims. Television producer don't spend millions of dollars on such a small audience. Someone else has to be watching them. I wonder who that is. Could it be the mainstream population? Again, your statement is empty headed.

You pick 6 tv shows out of how many?

roise fatass is no longer on tv (notice she waited until she ended her show before coming out...), ellen must of found some schmuck to let her back on... ABC kicked her ass off the air...

the only time I seen will and grace, they were making fun of homosexuals... yeah a real life show there...

the others I haven't seen nor plan on ever seeing...

Yeah homosexuality is so acceptable they can marry in any state they want... LOL

Most people in the US do not accept homosexuality... but then blindness is one of your strong points yeager...

Yeager there are more shows on cable as well as the ones you mentioned.

Queer as Folk - Season 5 will be starting. This was based off the British show of the same name which is also in season 7 I believe

The "L" word

Oz

Sex in the City

Let's not forget all the gay characters on polpular TV shows in the past such as Dynasty, and Melrose Place.

Logansdad we know that the Fab 5 are 5 gay men that don't flount their sexual orientation. They are a class act.

Now Rosie O'Donnel is a different story. Any time she can she will flount her sexual orientation even to the point where her and her girl friend flew to California to get married to spite Bush. Well that fell through quick.

Ellen Degenerus we know is gay but I have watched her program and there is nothing ever mentioned of that.

Will and Grace is a stupid comedy sometimes making fun of the gay person. BTW will and
Grace do live together and at one time wanted a baby.

The reality show Boy meets Boy is really stupid. I watched it once and for the life of me I can't imagine any straight man falling for that junk.
For money maybe so but the rest it did absolutely nothing for me.

There is no Rosie Show as wal mart dumped her.

The Fab 5 are only on cable and they do have a great show.

Ellen's show is on daytime and she has a great show.

I doubt if Boy meets Boy will be on
It's all Relative I have no idea what that is about. so I will not comment.

You give us a short list of gay programs as it probably isn't even 1% of all the TV shows out there. Yes there are stupid straight shows also but we have more to pick and choose from.

logansdad - Hey Linda, how come you are not accusing your gay Republican of possibly giving AIDS to his straight wife.

I have already addressed that question. One pubically stated he was gay...the other hadn't admitted to anything when I posted before.

You were so quick to judge the NJ governor but I don't hear you saying anything like this since this guy is a Republican.

Here again you are making an assumption that's it's because he's a republican, rather than he hasn't admitted being gay/or bisexual.

How come you are not saying he lied to his wife about who he really is. Funny how you keep your mouth shut when the shoe is on the foot.

Between you and yeager... [shaking my head here]. Yeager has some sort of fetish about counting how many posts I make in any/several thread(s), how many posts before I respond in a thread, etc. And you, because I oppose gay marriages, make constant assumptions about me.

Let me clear this up for you, hopefully once and for all. I would feel the same way about a republican who did this to his wife and family as I do when it's done by a democrat. Political affiliation has absolutely NOTHING to do with my values/morals. The subject with the behavior of gay married men is all the same in my minds eye. Okay? Now are we done trying to make it appear I have a double standard where I don't?

I could care less what political group this guy or the NJ Governor belongs to. I could care less if the Republican or NJ Governor is straight, bisexual, gay, likes to have sex in public places, likes to have sex with animals.

In any case I was pointing out the fact how you jumped down the back of the NJ Governor and within your 2nd post in that thread accused him of giving STD's to his wife. The fact is you did this because the NJ Governor admitted he was gay. Then you jumped on the sterotype bandwagon and assumed because he was gay he has AIDS because he had sex with another man and then gave it to his wife.

You are not different than some other people on this board with their views on homosexuality.

The subject with the behavior of gay married men is all the same in my minds eye. Okay? Now are we done trying to make it appear I have a double standard where I don't?

Yes you do have a double standard because you will accuse gay men of something, but when a straight married man does the same thing you will not accuse them. It has already been pointed out and you simply will not believe what you write.

Libra, it was yeager that posted the list of TV shows. I just added a couple of gay themed shows that only appear on cable.

Yes the Fab 5 are a great group and I love Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.

However for you to go making a comparison between the Fab 5 and Rosie is a little far fetched. Rosie had her own talk show and could discuss any topic she chose. The Fab 5 run a "self help" show. They follow a script were Rosie's show didn't. For comparison: do you see Ty Pennington on TLC making political statments during the home maker over programs. No rather you see them on the Tonight show with Jay Leno. Two different types of programs with two different formats.

Rosie and her partner went to California to make a statement against Bush, just like any other gay couple could have done. Do you know if any of the Fab 5 are in relationships? They or any other gay celebrity in a relationship could have done the same thing Rosie did. How many straight celebrities give there face to cause simply because they are a celebrity? I am sure Charlton Heston would give his face to cause if it was NRA related

I actually watched the entire season of Boy Meets Boy. Of course it would not appeal to you or straight men because it was meant for a gay TV audience. It is a gay version of all the dating programs aimed at the straight audience - Love Connection, Blind Date etc. What is so bad about that? It is not any more or lessy cheesey than any of the straight dating/marriage shows out there.

As for Will and Grace I have watched a few episodes now and then but I do not watch it regularly.

The same went for the Rosie and Ellen shows.

Yeager just listed the shows to make a point to Twelve.

logansdad - You don't care if xxx is straight, bisexual, gay, likes to have sex in public places, likes to have sex with animals.

I'm disappointed to hear that. But I can see your morals and values from a much better position now that you have made that statement. A total lack of morals when it comes to any sexual...'anything goes' type of thought process...even sex with animals. And from what I've taken from your posts, I thought you have inferred you were a Christian. IF those are truly your moral beliefs....and I have no reason to doubt they are now....'anything goes sexually'...that is not the Christian belief system.

In any case I was pointing out the fact how you jumped down the back of the NJ Governor and within your 2nd post in that thread accused him of giving STD's to his wife.

So you and yeager do have something in common....counting posts. Kind of a different type of fetish...but hey...at least not harmful to anyone.

You too are good at twisting what people say. I said he was endangering his wife's life by his sexual activities, and he WAS. And if the alligation about this republican turns out to be true....so was he.
No double standard.

They[he] was exposing their wife(wives) to getting HIV/AIDS. Funny how you refer to it as STDs...must bother you to say HIV/AIDS? Because that's the *greatest risk of this type of behavior*.

The fact is you did this because the NJ Governor admitted he was gay. Then you jumped on the sterotype bandwagon and assumed because he was gay he has AIDS because he had sex with another man and then gave it to his wife.

LOL...no again - I would have no way of knowing IF he was HIV positive. But I do know his actions put his two wives at risk. I said he was in the highest risk group to get infected with HIV/AIDS....and was not giving his wife a chance to make her own choice if she wanted to be exposed to this threat to her life...by him deceiving her with his sexual activities in this way.

edited to add logansdad's exact quote -

I could care less what political group this guy or the NJ Governor belongs to. I could care less if the Republican or NJ Governor is straight, bisexual, gay, likes to have sex in public places, likes to have sex with animals.

YES LINDA I DID SAY THAT I AM NOT RETRACTING WHAT I SAID. YOU KNOW WHY. BECAUSE I DO NOT CARE WHAT THESE PEOPLE DO IN PRIVATE. IT HAS NO EFFECT ON ME. FRANKLY I DON'T CARE IF YOU HAVE SEX WITH A COW. YOU ARE FREE TO DO WHATEVER YOU WANT IN YOUR HOME. YES I AM A CHRISTIAN BECAUSE I AM NOT CASTING JUDGEMENT ON WHAT THESE PEOPLE HAVE DONE.

[b]You too are good at twisting what people say. I said he was endangering his wife's life by his sexual activities, and he WAS. And if the alligation about this republican turns out to be true....so was he.

IF THAT IS TRUE, THEN IT IS SOMETHING THAT WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN SAID. YOUR STATEMENT ONLY SHOWS HOW HOMOPHOBIC YOU REALLY ARE AND YOU JUST WANT TO CONTINUE THE STEROTYPES OF GAY PEOPLE.

They[he] was exposing their wife(wives) to getting HIV/AIDS. Funny how you refer to it as STDs...must bother you to say HIV/AIDS? Because that's the *greatest risk of this type of behavior*.

Doesn't bother me one bit. HIV is an STD. I take it you need more of a medical lesson.

LOL...no again - I would have no way of knowing IF he was HIV positive. But I do know his actions put his two wives at risk. YOU ARE A FREAK. THERE YOU GO AGAIN ASSUMING HE CHEATED ON HIS FIRST WIFE WITH ANOTHER MAN. IT SEEMS YOU KNOW AN AWFUL LOT OF THE PRIVATE LIVES OF GAY MEN. YOU MUST HAVE BEEN ONE BEFORE YOU HAD A SEX CHANGE. THIS IS WHAT I MEAN ABOUT YOUR HOMOPHOBIC STATEMENTS. HIS WIFE COULD HAVE CHEATED ON HIM AS WELL. BUT YOU WOULDN'T CARE.
