Why? Beacuse I will stand up for my freedoms and if you feel I am blocking yours, then you never had those freedoms to begin with... just because I don't like what you say and call you on it, doesn't mean you have to stop... but then if don't really believe in what you are saying, then I understand why my words would hurt you...

I think that is the point here, most you lefties don't believe in what you say... therefore you think your freedom of speech is being stepped on... even though no one has shut you up from typing, you shut yourselves up...

Those of us on the right have strong opinions and believe what we say... that is the reason we will say it again and again... we know what is right and wrong... something you lefties need to learn...

Twelve..
Regardless if you are on the right or the left or in the center.. our freedom of speech is our right.

The Republicans don't have any stronger beliefs than the Democrats. I don't see the Democrats backing down here on the board either, what makes a post valid... repeating it over and over and over again..? I don't think so.

What I have observed though is that Republicans who post here, seem to play "follow the leader" unquestioningly and do so proudly..Baa Baa Baa

I'm pretty sure there had to be witnesses to this. If it had been a missile, instead of a plane, we would have known about it.

We did have this discussion immediately following the crashes. krs first brought up his theory that a plane never hit the Pentagon...and posted some pics or a link to make his point.

"George Bush hyjacked our grief and flew it into Iraq."

And john kerry voted to supported him doing so....as did many democrats in our Congress.

There are just too many variables involved and too many people would have to be in on it for this to stay secret.

Yes, starting with all the family members, loved ones, friends, etc...who haven't spoken out about just where their *missing* loved ones on that flight disappeared to. Many would have had to be silenced on their whereabouts.

------------------

And I agree with twelve....his statements and those of Kimlittle are just that. THEIR statements on why they disagree. They are in NO WAY restricting your right to free speech. They are just excerising THEIR right to free speech.

This always seems to be an area of confusion here on the part of the dems....if anyone sees anything differently than they do, they start claiming their right to free speech is being surpressed. Nonsense!!!

Only you maggie can take that right away from you... but then you would actually have to believe what you are saying...

This "conspiracy" theory is bunk.... the music did suck and that is what I say about it...

No matter what happens in the world, there will always be consipracy theories...very few come to fruition...

Profe,

If the hole in the Pentagon was not caused by Flight 77, then what did make the hole? If it was a missile, then what happened to Flight 77 and the people aboard?

Furthermore I have a difficult time with why a government would bomb their own building?

I think there is some sort of cover-up with 9/11 in that people knew more before the tragedy than they are willing to admit. However I can not believe the theories that were presented either at the Pentagon or the WTC sites.

Beats me.

If it was a missile, then what happened to Flight 77 and the people aboard?

I have no idea, not a clue.

Furthermore I have a difficult time with why a government would bomb their own building?

I can't imagine either.

I think there is some sort of cover-up with 9/11 in that people knew more before the tragedy than they are willing to admit.

I do too.

However I can not believe the theories that were presented either at the Pentagon or the WTC sites.

I don't either, but they sure are thought provoking.

Profe,

Thanks for starting this discussion. I was tempted to start it last week but decided against it to avoid the argument that it is only democrats bringing up these conspiracy theories as another way to bas Bush.

Do you have any thoughts about the new "Freedom Tower"? Do you like the design?

Last week when I say the documentary on A&E about it'd design. I could not stand it based on the way the 3-D paper-made models looked. However when I look at other drawings it looks better than I thought. I think I will have to wait and see how it looks when it is finished before making my final decision.

I think it's a wonderful design. There's part of me though that would like to see the entire property turned into a memorial park...

Ok, I'm tired of blind stupidity and repeating things over and over again to make them true.

Dear DUMB, LINDUH, Yes, Kerry, along with Republicans and other Democrats supported bush.......BUT, it wasn't a BLANK check to do anything he wanted. Most people voting for that bill thought that Bush would use what little brains he had , take advice, wait for UN inspectors to finish the job, HAVE A PLAN ! But he just took it and ran.

AND, Republicans voted FOR it BEFORE they voted AGAINST it, flip flopping !!!!!!!!!

This is how business is done in Congress, not many bills are passed right away, as is, with no changes! Learn how your government works before you shoot off that overlarge mouth.

No one expected bush to forge ahead against the objections of so many countries who WARNED that what is happening NOW would happen! I know you, Linda, don't mind slaughter but most normal people do. The invasion of Iraq is a mess!

If it was YOUR back yard you'd have a different outlook!

I would too. But the sad reality is that land [real estate] is just worth too much $$ for it to sit idle and not produce income for the city.

Profe,

The one thing I hated about the design I saw on the A&E documentary was the "spire" and the lattice at the top of the building. It seemed so out of place on the 3-D paper model. It just left a "bad taste" in my mouth.

When I see the picture above, it doesn't look as bad as the 3-D paper model. I really think the designers could have done better in my opinion.

When we visited ground zero a year ago it was hard to imagine anything of value stood in that area. Or that anything of value ever would again. I felt overwhelming grief while there. Mark couldn't wait to get me away, but didn't rush me.

I thought that a memorial park was an ideal plan, but real estate is too valuable in the city for that to be realized. I knew that deep down.

This plan doesn't appear to be overwhelming, and might actually look nice when completed.
