reamond - It's NOT about kerry's protection of the 'clause' - it's that he doesn't even abide by his own church's teachings. Many HAVE left the Catholic church for that VERY reason...they didn't agree with their teachings and felt it was hypocritical to stay. Didn't change their belief in God...or other Church teachings.
kerry just gives his faith lip service for political reasons when he doesn't agree with the most strongly held beliefs of his OWN church's teachings.

yeager - I'll be more clear.
NONE of the procedures you have brought up involve the killing of a human being. This does.
------------
And for all you who support kerry because he say's one thing and his actions prove differently....HE too has stated HE believe life begins at conception. So...don't tell me when you believe a human life begins....I don't care. But the farce your support does believe that.

Well linda, you apparently believe that a fertilized egg is a human being. If you do, then you must believe that the eggs in the grocery store are chickens.

NTS,
I can answer that question with a question.
What came first, the gear or the lathe? For those who don't know, a lathe is an industrial machine used for shaping metal. On the inside of a lathe, there are many gears.

linda, I believe you're being deliberately dense because so many have blown holes in you posts.
John Kerry HAS SAID he believes with the churches teachings that abortion is wrong. He also believes in the seperation of church and state and does NOT believe in making into law his religious beliefs.
THIS IS HOW IT SHOULD BE!
My last four cars have been red, bright red...I think it's the only color of car...I love it...I will never have any other color!
BUT I don't think they should pass a law saying everyone has to drive a red car. I firmly believe people should be free to drive any color car they choose.

BUNK !! Who says he doesn't abide by his own church teachings ? Kerry has never had an abortion.
You seem to be unable to understand that many people do not feel it their duty to impose their religious beliefs on everyone else like the Taliban does.

Yes, reamond I understan that when kerry uses his religious beliefs and his Bible guotes that the left agrees with....helping mankind...the environment...THEN the faith he profess that leads him that way is a-okay with the lefties here.

No one said that some biblical teaching are not in line with sound public policy.
"Helping mankind" and a sound environmental policy are not based on articles of religious faith, but rather on science and sound public policy.
Neither of these positions impinge on established individual rights and neither involve personal morality.
