1st tier eBay 45%-55% STR
2nd tier yahoo! 12%-15% STR
3rd tier Bidville- 0.5%-0.7% STR

I think a STR of 5% is more common these days on Yahoo and without bidding wars. On Yahoo it's best to set a BIN price as one bid is the norm and it'll get an index on Froogle even though no one uses Froogle yet.

I stand by my numbers for all three. The hardest to calculate was bidville. I may do some other sites in the future if time allows including your prized ioffer.

I really don't give a rat's posterior about ioffer other than my beloved ioffer store. I hope it does well enough to stay afloat and even prosper. ( and doesn't do a Carnaby or PixieToys )

What the heck is Froogle? What does it do, and why would someone use it?

I've been an active seller on eBay since 1996, but I've never heard of Froggle....

I'm giving the new Tamer Auctions a try. I love their other auction products, and I like the way the site is set up, they have always been professional in the manner they run their auction posting program, and I expect they will be with their auction site too.

Froogle is a special Google shopping search engine currently in beta testing.

http://froogle.google.com/

What exactly is Froogle?

Froogle is a new service from Google that makes it easy to find information about products for sale online. By focusing entirely on product search, Froogle applies the power of Google's search technology to a very specific task: locating stores that sell the item you want to find and pointing you directly to the place where you can make a purchase.

Froogle could be an ebay-busting success to a mega flop. Only time will tell. It is the best shot at keeping ebay honest about possibly raising fees. The folks at Google seem to have the 'Midas Touch' and let's hope they strike gold again with their Froogle gambit.

The only sellers depending on froogle are found on 3rd tier sites. The majority of people dont know it exists. Yahoo is working on a search, and if put on the main page it will squash froogle. Here is an article that was posted yesterday:

Froogle will be much more of small web site stores than any online auction site. Froogle is a totally unknown quantity right now without an ounce of publicity. What it will become or do when released out of beta testing is anyone's guess. I hope it catches on. Ebay caught on eight years ago so who knows.
