magster-I was born in 45-so I grew up in the 60's-clicking on that link I remember some of those pics. Now I know why I dont know his name as that stuff is pure JUNK. I was never into that hippie garbage, that was a phony as the "disco era". Although I did like of the music of the 60 and even disco music, just didnt like the "disco scene"-aka "studio 54" I hate to admit this but I have to agree with Crow on her last post(yes I will regret this forever) but the 70's do rock! hence my moniker "classicrock"

classic, all the music historians seem to say the 70ties was a blighted and blah'ed decade. I personally didnt think so, but when they pull up some of the music that was popular then, than you'd say yeah, kinda was. (I guess in comparison to the 50ties and sixties.)
-did ya ever go to studio 54? I think we actually got in twice! Once was when a friend actually spotted somebody to let us in through the fire exit doors! lol!
Where did maggie go? Is her shift over or what?? - Boy, outta here quicker than you can make a typo!

" classic, all the music historians seem to say the 70ties was a blighted and blah'ed decade"
I thought the 70's were alot more deverse then
the 50's and 60's.You had E.L.O.-C.C.R.-Billy Joel,The Bee Gees,The Eagles,Bob Seger,Elton John,Abba,Kiss,Queen-if they think this is blah, they must have their heads up their ass.
Magster-I did like the 60's-the Stones,Beach Boys,Beatles and even Charles Westover.I just thought the music of the 70's was so much better

Don't forget this forgettable ditty, #1 for two whole weeks in 1970.
Norman Greenbaum---Spirit In The Sky
When I die and they lay me to rest
Gonna go to the place that's the best
When I lay me down to die
Goin' up to the spirit in the sky
Goin' up to the spirit in the sky
That's where I'm gonna go when I die
When I die and they lay me to rest
Gonna go to the place that's the best
Prepare yourself you know it's a must
Gotta have a friend in Jesus
So you know that when you die
He's gonna recommend you
To the spirit in the sky
Gonna recommend you
To the spirit in the sky
That's where you're gonna go when you die
When you die and they lay you to rest
You're gonna go to the place that's the best
Never been a sinner I never sinned
I got a friend in Jesus
So you know that when I die
He's gonna set me up with
The spirit in the sky
Oh set me up with the spirit in the sky
That's where I'm gonna go when I die
When I die and they lay me to rest
I'm gonna go to the place that's the best
Go to the place that's the best

Spirit in the Sky.....wasn't that a drug song? Oh, no, that was Lucy in the Sky!
Oh, well,what's the difference?

profe, they've now made a remake of that song. its very popular with young christians teens. (did you know they have really built up a genre with it all? Concerts, lighting lighters the whole nine yards!) It was only #1 for two weeks? Why do I seem to remember that song being playing sooo much in the summertime?
Classic, I figured you would say that. Its true about any era's music. They didnt call it a decade of decadence or blighted, but whatever it was, looking back now, I had to somewhat agree with their terms. But I had a great time in the 70ties and I still have the many albums I bought and listened to
Maybe because i am older now, but I think the current music scene really stinks, lyrically, musically, everything. Today I was in my car and in a hurry to get where I was going and all of a sudden I became aware of the radio on and hearing this kid croning, "girl shake that ass" shake that ass... I think that was all he was saying. LOL! - I was like, what the hell am i listening to?

I make some good money when I auction off Peter Max items. They are highly collectible and very hard to come by. Peter Max was a featured artist for one of the Olympic Games. He did some fantastic work...
I have no idea what year it was...
Now how did it get from Christ to Peter Max?
