I could have gone to a public hs which was about 10 minutes from my house or I could have gone to 1 of 3 different private high schools.
Absolute faith has been shown, consistently, to breed intolerance. And intolerance, history teaches us, again and again, begets violence.

Ya know Logan, if "Kids denied a Catholic education" .........wouldn't that be a good thing (for the kids, I mean.)
I think ALL kids should be denied a Catholic education and get a real one instead !

logansdad - the decision was left totally up to you? If yes, I just find that unlike any parents I know - especially assuming it's the parents who have to pay the money for the private schooling.
Maybe it comes down to money? Your parents had so much money that it private schooling wasn't a big deal?

My parents did pay for my high school education, but it was still my choice of what school I wanted to go.
