todie

You lose credibility when you use such phrases as "blindly support the tryant" and then moan that you want to be reinstated...

Feigning such high principles...

LOL well HCQ we agree again. This is a nice comedic thread to come to on a Sunday...
krs and stockticker, you two are having too much fun with todie. Of course it does seem like you're taking advantage of an unarmed person....

But I thought it was against the CG's to promote another site here at AW? Sure looks like self promotion to me.

timeforebaytodie,

Please go back and edit out your links to that website you are promoting. It's against the CG's as you probably know.

Thanks,

I think Todie started off on the wrong foot. If I was going to complain about the service at a restaurant I wouldn't start off telling about how they threw me out.

Here's a good example:

I found the service at Chez Bubba to very poor, their selections of ketchup was shoddy and I had to request a spit cup 3 times before the waiter took care of the matter. I don't plan on going back.

A bad example:

I was thrown out of Chez Bubba last night. I found the service at Chez Bubba to very poor, their selections of ketchup was shoddy and I had to request a spit cup 3 times before the waiter took care of the matter. I don't plan on going back.

Auctionwatch is the only bitchaboutebay site authorized by auctionwatch, Ben.

I tried to tell you that.

uaru, You mean: "I was thrown out of Chez Bubba last night. I found the service at Chez Bubba to very poor, their selections of ketchup was shoddy and I had to request a spit cup 3 times before the waiter took care of the matter. I'm getting back in there no matter what it takes".

Isn't this a bad case of what we used to call 'sour grapes'? Or in this case, sour todie.
Get a life, todie, or troll, whichever the case may be!

Bearmom,

Telling another poster to "get a life" and calling them a "troll" are comments that come very close to crossing the line. Please address the subject and not the poster.

Thanks for your cooperation,

TimeforEbayTodie, I don't understand why you wouldn't let us know exactly why Ebay suspended you. You'd get a lot more sympathy that way. Since you won't go into details, we are forced to guess. And my guess is that you are a seller who failed to ship items to your customers (that's "fraud". If I'm incorrect I apologize in advance, but you just came in here with a one-liner and basically expects us to side with you. I'd love to, as I am fed up with Ebay myself. But you need to clarify your complaint.

Frogleg: Well then pray you don't get chosen to.....

Randall: My story and many other's are posted at the site I'm not allowed to tell you about, its a long story but I'll give you the shortened version, I was a seller on ebay for 2 years and I was supposedly sent an email from a person who claims they didn't recieve a magazine from me, I sold about 300 magazines a week so I would have been glad to refund this person if I would have known about it. One day I got online and to my shock my account had been deleted for "auction-non performance". I contacted ebay and asked them for details about the transaction. They sent this nice pre formatted email that didn't tell me anything. I pursued this matter deeper. I found all 3 of their phone numbers and called them all. I was told "they didn't take those kind of calls there". They said that I would "have to email safeharbor" which I did and each time I did I waiting 3-7 days for a response each time they sent me the same pre formatted email that didn't answer my question. I asked them 23 times by email for the person's name/user id/etc that accused me of fraud, I called them 6 times too, never were they willing to disclose this info. My last few attempts I recieved an email saying "we don't accept emails from non'registered users". Well I wasn't the only one who got taken advantage of here. The person who supposedly didn't recieve a magazine from me also to this day is waiting to recieve his goods. I would be glad to refund this person if ever ebay communicates with me about this matter further, however I can do nothing at this point. If you have any further questions I would be glad to answer them.

Regards,
Ben

You got booted for ONE claim of nonperformance?

And your FB was what at the time of this gross injustice?

(350), yeah, that is why I don't bother telling the story because there are scoffers like the previous post who come in and are "oh ebay can't possibly make a mistake, they are perfect", normally I wouldn't waste my time on such a ludicrous post but there you go, I post my thoughts, if you don't like them then ignore me.

Hello Todie

Man, Get a grip. Forgive and Forget!

MAM is not directing you to one specific site.

Pick and choose, its a big wide Internet out there man! There is a life beyond eBay and the third planet!

If you specialize in one specific collectible, use the Niche or Vertical Auction sites. Simple answer.

If you have a variety of items, use some of the other larger auction sites.

I do both, and have found great success. I started with MAM, looked into several Niche sites, and I am working them. For most of us success is not made within 24 hours, and it requires work.

Quit wasting BTUs and energy on your I hate eBay quest and apply that energy to other sites. Plurals intended!

Chill out, relax, and have fun. Man life is too short to hate the world!

Nuff Said.

Tolz: I appreciate your comments. I have "officially" been off of ebay for 8 months now but this has not meant that I have given up on online auctions, I have personally been usually yahoo auctions and edeal primarily. They have been the most successful for me, however I must correct you on one thing, there really isn't online auction "life outside of ebay". Ebay has a strangle hold on 95% of online auctions sales currently in the market. I have also found this to be true myself, I have discovered that the same list that I was selling 300 auctions a week off of at ebay I only sell about 10-15 a week now and ever since I was rudely and unethically removed from ebay. Since it has totally killed my ability to successfully sell auctions I have the spare time instead of selling to gripe. If I wish to ever be successful with online auctions I must either

A. Go back to eBay (which I don't really think I want to do anymore) and sell there again after having my account reinstated which won't happen because ebay knows they goofed and refuses to admit it or answer any of my emails.

or

B. I can get as many people as possible to know about ebay's wrongdoings in hoping to drive them away. I have been contacted twice in the last 3 months by different hi profile newsgroups wanting info on ebay. I can't wait to spread the news further. I'm not surprised however that I find some ebay stooges out there who have sold their soul to ebay and refuse to take the blinders off of their eyes and investigate to see if the "1000 lb gorilla" is really a stinker which it is and I have enough proof on my site which I'm prohibited to list on this board to prove it. Contact me by email and I can supply this for you and any questions you might have. Thank you.

Regards,
Ben

Your 4th Amendment Rights are toilet paper at eBay! Quote from Lexington Herald

``If an investigator calls, we tell them don't bother with a subpoena. We give them names, addresses, telephone numbers, credit-card numbers, whatever we can,'' said ****** *******, a former federal prosecutor who now works for eBay.

I'm all for cracking down on the rippoffs and scams, but not at the expense of 99% of the people's privacy. Is there a single person that is not outraged at this? How many con artist do you think will call tomorrow claiming to be "an investigator" to get the credit card numbers and addresses of ebay users?

Todie: A serious suggestion - if you aren't meeting success selling the same types of items off eBay that you were on eBay, maybe you should think about changing what you sell. Find out what DOES sell well off-eBay and find supply sources for those items. That would be a lot more productive use of your time than beating your head against a brick wall! Make that stubbornness of yours (or perseverence if you prefer ) work to your advantage.
