Linda says, "Admitting defeat would not be considered by many who are not anti-American to be in our best interests. That kind of plays into enemy hands and supports THEIR cause...not ours."
"That's NOT what I will EVER consider being a Patriotic American.

Your definition of a Patriotic American and mine differ. I believe that patriotic Americans exist on both sides of the political fence.

So you have just called me anti-American and not a patriotic American simply because I see the Iraq war as unjustified. Or rather, you have insinuated that

LOL helen....how you love to distort....

you believed that I used a copy paste from the Moscow Times. You were wrong about that but nevertheless you made the following insinuation.

....no helen...as the link proves I ASKED if you got that article from the Moscow Times....and said that's where it had originated from. A little different from how you're presenting it to be, isn't it? lol

I also ASKED....as in a question you know....with a question mark and all were you a communist? I asked because of the views you were spewing at the time - always defending/supporting our enemies. It was a fair question I believe as the US does have both a socialist and communist party. Remember who hillary clinton interned for?...communist party lawyers.

You said, "The burning of our flag means nothing and quoting from a columnist who writes for the Moscow News.....what is that? Are you a member of the Communist Party Helen? Or whatever new name they're going under now."

Yep, helen, I just didn't and still don't support burning the American flag - as you do/did. Somehow it just seems SO un-patriotic to me. I don't think most American's see it as a sign of Patriotism either....even though you have the right to support our flag burners. [brother, I feeling like I have to qualify everything I say...so someone's not screaming/having a hissy fit about they have the 'right' to burn our flag in protest].

linduh, why can't you answer kiara's post....you come in here, and I know you have the right, you come into a thread I start and then won't answer a direct question.
Why are you so afraid of me? It's so sad.

Now, everyone, have you not noticed that nothing can change linduh's petrified mind ?
Why argue with her....when you prove her wrong or illogical she pretends she can't read.
She is, was, and will always be a soul dead, torture loving, sadistic, blood thirsty , brainwashed,Communist-leaning, stone cold Nazi-like, piece of low class trash........

Why bother.....

Linda, take a good look around you and you'll see the amount of services that are paid for by taxpayers. It's not much different in Canada except for the health care system. Perhaps you should get to know other countries and some of the views of other posters before you label them as Socialist to suit your own agenda.

And if you weren't in here constantly harping about how wrong everything that my government does or doesn't do that you approve of...I wouldn't be mentioning Canada at all.

Linda, I'm not in here constantly on each topic like you are as I don't think I'm an authority on every topic as you seem to be. I even left for a month or so.

Last week I said the US troops were doing great work in the tsunami disaster area but you wanted to turn it into a topic about how only the US was doing good work there and giving the most money.

Does this mean that you prefer I don't post my views here because it only makes you want to bash Canada?

Ah helen...you've gone from enjoying 'funny' to lowering yourself to insulting. no surprise there.

And you might want to post the link to that thread as you did the last time you denied and tried to distort what I actually said....but no...that won't fit in with your agenda will it?

Last week I said the US troops were doing great work in the tsunami disaster area

I know...I was totally taken back with surprise. It was nice to see you finally saying something positive about my country.

but you wanted to turn it into a topic about how only the US was doing good work there and giving the most money.

Nope...wrong again. That's the way you TOOK what I said...not what I said. I said we were the first on the 'scene' for those victims....and that dollar per dollar we, the US, have been the major contributor to all countries when they need help. Seems to bother you anytime I defend my countries good actions. Too bad...it's the truth.

Does this mean that you prefer I don't post my views here because it only makes you want to bash Canada? Nope....post away. Just don't get so 'miffed' when I reply.

When you stop getting so "calmly" upset with my responses, with a smile on your face, and start telling me to shove it up my As$ all the time then we'll not only be disagreeing on the issues with one another but it makes the differences between our two Canadian posters even more noticable.

well....you two should go 'slap hands' with crowfarm....she/he too can get pretty low and think it's funny. It's childish behavior from those who CAN'T defend their position...so they resort to the insults. Insults helen...remember the thing you posted on the threads that ONLY come from the 'right' side? Boy...were you proven wrong on that too.

And yes, calling for the US to admit defeat when we just arrived there....did make me see you as being anti-American. To me your posts at that time, often reflected sympathy for our enemies - and disagreement with our Nation's policies.

First, I don't address you as "he/she" Linda. Why do you address crowfarm that way?

As I have demonstrated in this thread, you can get as low as it goes followed by a big grinning happy face. That's *your style not crowfarms.

It has also been demonstrated by numerous posters here that you have a strong tendency to misinterpret. So, I don't see your remarks as credible and furthermore, I have no respect for your opinions.

I think Australia was first on the scene, Linda but what matters is that the world reached out to help and it shouldn't be just the money or how big a country you are that counts.

As far as me calmly telling you to cram it up your azz while I have a smile on my face, I think I only did it twice but I'll do it whenever I feel like it. Quit your whining about the insults from others, you get down and dirty just like the rest of us only you won't admit it.

I see our posts managed to get 6 berserk little smilies from you at one time!

LOL parklane - ....when push comes to shove....

Helen...you're just bitter because President Bush was re-elected. It just galls you to have to live through another four years.

defend crowfarm all you want....did you vote in his/her thread....I'm sure he'd/she enjoy having your support. Like I care.

And fess up helen...how many times have you said the exact same thing to me and can't even do what you say you're going to do? lol ....

It bothers you that I don't know how I post about cf? Too bad. That's oh-so-mild to what he/she says about me but I don't see you complaining about that. No...your double standard is showing again. The reason I do that is I just can't believe it could be a woman/lady posting that way. Not even have the feminists I've seen/read presents themselves the way she does. And I've seen some feminists that don't even look feminine.

Your ships are rusting away in drydock.

Pictures I saw of the first two days...were of American soldiers flying in the supplies. [picture tongue stuck out here ] I could get just as childish as you do. But I'm done playing with you for the day.

I take it that Faux News only showed you what you wanted to see, Linda. Besides, you don't give a rat's azz about the people there or the people in Iraq ...... all that matters to you is your neocon view of who is bigger and best.

Crowfarm takes a lot of abuse here and may answer in kind but I admire her for being open and honest and for not being a sneaky and snide little b$tch who always whines 'victim' when things don't go her way.

Funny how you ignore the fact that Kennedy stood up to the Russian's. Was willing to take this Nation to war for what we preceived as a threat from them.

Linda are you talking about the Bay of Pigs (the Cuban Missle Crisis).

But they re-elected him anyway. Goes to show what polls know.

Yes they did Linda, but not by the landslide majority you want to believe. It was a slim majority and regards of why he was re-elected the American people are no longer in favor of this war.

I'm still waiting to hear your answer on why you believe clinton bombed Iraq for four days....preemptively.

More of your double standards Linda. You want me to answer your questions but yet when I ask questions you refuse to answer and claim you have answered them already.

No, it was not preemptively. Clinton did it because Saddam was in violation of the UN agreement.

If you want to say Bush did it pre-emptively I would disagree since the UN weapons inspectors were in Iraq searching for the mysterious WMD's as Bush decided to start war. The inspectors were there doing there job. Bush could have waited another month or so.

Especially since so many ultra liberals here believe saddam presented NO threat to the world or the US.

Saddam did not pose a threat to the US. Please show me where he had one weapon that would reach the US mainland.

But to be more clear....I'm talking about our government POLICY. Once that is established...to fight against [say] giving money to our troops that are there...IS anti-American imo.

Government policy is set by those in charge. It still makes no difference who sets it, the American people still have a right to question things without being called Anti-American. The American people have been misled about this war from the beginning. There are alot of people that believe this was was planned well before 9/11 and then Bush used that as his reason for war. His main reeason was because of weapons of mass destructions, then it was for freedom after none were found. Bush has not set a timetable for this war. This war could go on for another 6 years (the actual war - not the reconstruction or how long we will maintain a force in Iraq). The American people will not stand for another Vietnam. Perhaps if Bush would have been more clear about his objectives and reasons in the beginning people would not be jumping down his throat.

LOL logansdad - You're too funny. I answer hundreds of your questions. The problem is they just don't stop and at times I do have other things to do.

No, it was not preemptively. Clinton did it because Saddam was in violation of the UN agreement.

I figured if you even answered, you'd say that. But you're chosing to ignore UN resolution 1440 that ALSO stated he'd be in violation if he didn't immediately cooperate. He didn't. Game time over.

How you lefties can complain about our CONGRESS decision to go to war...and all the dems statements we've previously quoted...and still blame this President for what SADDAM didn't do...is beyond me. That is part of why I call some here anti-America. You see saddam was the one not complying...you can verify what the UN resolution said....but you still support our leaving saddam in power and say he posed no threat. EVEN after both clinton's and many dem leaders told you/us HE DID. That IS anti-American policy....both of the left and the right...our Congress.

And you're #*!@!ing too about being called anti-American? After all the name calling you've done?

Because it wouldn't be at all true. How terrible that you'd even say something like that.

------

Thirty-one of these 37 that died....died from a helicopter ACCIDENT. Could have happened anywhere....while training...while serving in other countries...as it HAS before.

But I sure haven't seen the anti-war people mentioning they feel just terrible about this accident....nope, once again using it for their own agenda.
