I really am interested in spamming my website into all the emails I can get my hands on. Certainly, I would not be dumb enough to dare do it with my auction ID on ebay. How could I get around ebay knowing its me or linking me? Do I need to get a separate email? separate computer? Let me know your evil spamming secrets so that I may too harvest the cyber buck more efficiently. Thank you.

Start out by getting the greatest email program. Pegasus For Windows.

It allows you to extract email addresses from email messages you receive from YOUR customers. (They are YOUR customers, and NOT eBay's)

It also allows you to set up different ID's.

It's great, and super easy to use!

THANK YOU!!Pegasus! Wow, I didn't know such things were even available. I was thinking about setting up a separate website to sell my items, other than the one my Ebay customers will go to. I don't want to jeopardize by Ebay selling in anyway. What about an ISP that does not give a hoot about spamming or at least an email carrier?

Well actually chisholm1943 I did get it. I knew that anyone that loves spam such as yourself wouldn't give me a real address. The "passiton" did not escape my notice.

I didn't care if it was fake. The joke was in posting it to this thread. It was another joke, get it?

I'd post an url for you, Dr. Beetle, but I'm afraid I would get in trouble and perhaps even be banned for life! Someone else will have to explain it to you in the most obscure manner possible.

Put THIS IS NOT SPAM in the email title. Then when ebay catches you, you can simply point out to them that this is not a spam email.

Best spam

2 tsp canola oil

2 cups diced spam

1 chopped onion

1 clove garlic diced

1 large zuccini diced

1 no 2 no 4 jiggers of Crown Royal.

I suggest using the "Send this auction to a friend" link for all your spam. That way it's coming from eBay and not you.

I can not, no matter how much the Queen Diva of this thread compells me to, divulge all my secret tactics of spamming.

I email 6,000-10,000 past customers every 60 days. With my main selling ID. Never even had a warning from eBay, and Amazon encourages me to maintain a mailing list.

Um inless your emailing your auction buyers about up comeing auctions I dont recomend mailing them at all.

spam is not only not good its the single #1 waste of your valuable profitable time you can use.

if you want to get your website URL in as many emails as you can simply add your URL as a signature to the end of every message you send out

take my word for it I have been at this 7 years just sending random emails to ever address you come by dont work. you might get two or three who click the link to your site that will move the counter but just hits arent worth nothing

if your trying to sell goods at your website or you are trying to get bids on your auctions you are far better off targeting your mail to people who want to see and buy what you have.

its far more profitable and take less energy to pay $100 for a 10,000 emails or banner veiws on some sight like yahoo that can get you 10 to 20 real sales . about 30 mins effort writeing one good add , put ads in local papers .

or you can spend hours on end daily sending out spam for 1 or 2 turns on your counter and no sales.

I would rather have 6 hits on my auctions in a day or two and make $100 to $1000 then waist 3 day to 3 month spamming just to have a counter that has 100000 hits on it and no sales.

I dont know if your just trolling for the reaction or if your serious about makeing good on the web but either way I am giveing you good advice.

online Auctions is a good way to make $$$ but it has to be a passion.
its not easy at all you must KNOW WHAT YOU ARE SELLING. there are two kinds of buyer out there at the auctions collector who have a passion for what they collect they know what they want and they know what its worth to them .

and there are the dealers and resellers who will eat your miss placed under price auctions up for a midnight snack and burn you out packing and buying and have you wondering where all the profits are for your work

My family has been in a business of one kind or the other for well over 100 years.

Good things I have learned from my family, A good business is Good hard work and you must be willing to spend money to make money . if you set out to make money perpare to lose from time to time by saveing enough to get you through that time.

there is no such thing a a free lunch, RIch quick and easy are words you should run from fast when used in the same sentence togeather.

That was advice well taken Dman! I certainly understand about saving for the good times. Certainly I would not just randomly send out emails because I make a specific product for a specific market. What about lifting the bidding lists off Ebay? I see auctions that have may 90-100 bidders - dutch auctions-that seems like such a great time to get the email addresses. They may not be bidding on my particular auction but I can supply similar items. Whats the pros and cons? would this be a waste?

artdoggy asks:
"Whats the pros and cons? would this be a waste?"

Yes, this would be a waste!

The Cons:
As soon as you "randomly" hit MY e mail box, I will report you to YOUR ISP, your ISP's upstream provider, and to any web site host that you mention in your UBE /UCE.

Your ISP, and their upstream providers all have (as does eBay/Amazon et al) AUP / TOS and Spam / UCE / UBE violates all of them.

You see, I'll be damned if I will allow YOU to transfer YOUR advertising costs to ME by you having filled MY ISP's mail system and MY mailbox with your advertising spam.

If it is UNsolicited, and Bulk, OR Commercial, you are not allowed in MY mailbox.

Period!

Can it get simpler than that?

TAKING EMAIL MARKETING TO THE NEXT LEVEL
How to use the latest e-messaging strategies to increase profits.

Many types of Internet advertising don't work as well as they once
did. People have gotten used to banners and don't click on them.
Some ezines have failed to keep their readers' interest and ads
sometimes get less response. Search engines are overflowing with
submissions. Getting your site listed high is almost impossible.

More and more businesses and organizations are now turning to email
marketing to keep profits rolling in. While an increasing number of
people say they rarely surf the Net, the vast majority of North
Americans check their email every day.

Email marketing is the most effective and efficient way to influence
purchases and keep customers informed and happy. It is also extremely
inexpensive. Where you might have mailed out one printed customer
update every month, you can now email one every week for a fraction
of the cost.

Increasingly, companies need to embrace email marketing in a big way
in order to stay competitive. Those who formerly used a service to
send out their newsletters, sales info, and consumer updates are now
doing all the emailing themselves.

New technology that is powerful yet easy to use allows anyone to
handle email jobs that previously required expensive professional
help. Many companies are bringing their email campaigns in house
in order to have more control, grow their email efforts, and decrease
costs.
